[GI] USA East Server Time

It has come to my attention that the new time on the US East server has been decided on as a permanent time.

Issues:

It is an EAST coast server, WHY WOULD IT BE ON WEST TIME?! There is a THREE HOUR difference. So events that start at 7 pm server time are at 10 pm for East coast players. That is ridiculous, many people that play this game have lives and can't be on at that time.

Even if this time is to get ready for the server merge, why would the general time be the EARLIEST time in the continental US? It should be in between West and East or even central time, then events will land at a good time for everyone, and not just one end of the US.

I hope a developer sees this post and strongly considers changing the time back to the normal time it should be because this server is going to lose players fast because of it. Also, please consider what the time will be when the server merge happens, it should be a balance to benefit ALL locations in the US, not just one side.

 

They were supposed to adjust the time for regular events on the east servers so they fall at the normal time of 7 pm EST. Is this not the time that they are running? I ask since I have not been checking up myself even though I have accounts there. I am mainly on the West server but we can't seem to get events going there on time either.

 

No they said times of events were going to be at normal times but they are not, they run on the west time. Its ridiculous. I was even told this time was temporary and they were still fixing it, but that obviously isn't the case.

All servers in the American group are still running on PST.

We understand that this is inconvenient for everyone involved, and they are working on a fix.
To minimize the effect all special sales are individually scheduled to run at the proper time according to time zone.
