[GI] venom singularity in 5-2

Why does the venom ability work in the trade zone of 5-2??? I got hit by a selfish guy named REMOVED with the ability and he just sat in the demilitarized zone until I died. I couldn't attack him of course which is baloney. Is that how this ability was intended to be used; a one-sided attack I could do nothing about in a demilitarized zone? I even kami'd my pet on him and it didn't do any damage. Why do you let that ability work when he sits in the DM zone and is protected?

 

its getting a joke on gb1 got locked at port no issue there .followed him around map for a few secs another goli came to help me not only did he pop helping goli took my pet out too ...also i had full nano just completed gate.perfect sab and x4 perfect cloak perfect emp then i use egius ability on both cons POP oh forgot to mention in ring formation full lvl4 all 16 and sheilds doubled boostered ?any feed back will help were i am going wrong

 

Just sounds like you dealing with a player way stronger than you. That's not what I'm talking about.

I'm talking a guy using an UNSTOPPABLE ability on me when I can't do anything to him while he sits in a DM zone in the middle of 5-2. What the hell is that? Is that what DO wants, players who can attack others while they sit un-attackable in a DM zone?

 

There was a guy that did that in my server a couple years ago. The only way to get rid of it is to use an emp or jump to 5-3 and come all the way back around to 5-2.

 

No. There's no way it should be ok to do damage to another player in any way, while you sit on the DM zone and can't be hurt yourself.

Besides, what's the CD on the venom ability?

 

They can only use the venom ability (Singularity) when you are out of DMZ (attacking NPCs), and the cooldown is 20 minutes, if I am not mistaken. It's total damage is a little over 400,000.

 

Its one of those things that just sucks. Pop an EMP and watch them go hide in the base and log.

 

EMP will cancel Venom ability. If you don't have any EMP, the only other way is to jump a port if you can make it from mid 5-2. Or kill the venom using player, which you say he is sitting in DMZ so that ones out.

I agree with the OP on this one. Seems quite un-fare really.

DMZ Yeah, DO deems an attack is with lasers and/or rockets...not special ability

 

Remember also there is a 3-5 second time frame when reaching a DMZ from the map that your ship is still vulnerable to attack.

it does seem a little unfair. Leave the trade zone and emp, or go on the backpage and spin!

 

The only place I know with a clock/timer is 4-5...I don't know about the other maps.

 

use an emp, and they will leave, unless ur a noob then they will wait for you to leave demi zone and pop you
