[GI] warnings

    I am just curious after 3 yrs on game that when non english speaking in chat will be more than a warning??

    Warnings can vary, meaning that they aren't required & not always issued (sometimes the situation just really doesn't fit for a warning). There's quite a few who face bans before getting 'verbally' warned for it.
    (not to mention the first warning about anything really is the T&Cs^^)

    Some users are just looking for their friends, and mutual language speakers so they can group up for another room; in fairness there are some who do respect the rules and go to private rooms and such as the rules (and we) ask when they wish to speak another language.

    The goal isn't to just discourage people from using chat or making friends. A big part of what makes this game is the community, and we don't want to totally take that away more than we have to. We know this is something that is frustrating the community and trying to keep that in mind as well as being as fair & reasonable to the situation as possible.

    In short, we do ban for it, and while I know some believe all we do is warn for it, there are just as many (if not more) who might be doing this and not getting a 'verbal' warning at all. We don't always announce it, so it's not always very obvious that we've just cleared the room from it.

    I hope that might be at least a little reassuring to the situation for you.
