[GI] Weekend GG Rewards

I was just goin over the DO calendar, and noted that Saturdays are ‘GG Special Rewards’ and Sundays are ‘GG Double Rewards’. Is there any difference that I should know about?

 

GG Double Rewards - Most Galaxy Gate "end/finish" rewards are doubled, with exceptions. (basically the rewards get for finishing a Galaxy Gate)

Galaxy Gate Double Rewards Day FAQ, and a bit from said FAQ:

"To help clear some of this up:
· Double XP, Honor, Logfiles, Repair Vouchers, Booty Keys, EE (depending on the gate)
· Havoc and LF-4s are doubled should the drop roll be successful.
· Uri, x4 ammo and Kronos Gate parts are not doubled."


GG Special Rewards - Basically some specific gates have an extra possible reward, but is only a chance of getting it.

Said specific gates: Delta, Epsilon, Kuiper and Lambda. The following is the chance rewards that can be on one of those gates:

"Package Contents You have a chance to win one of the following rewards from the corresponding package.

• LF-4: One LF-4 or 10,000 UCB-100
• Awesome Drones: Havoc, Hercules, Elite Demon, or Silver Demon drone design
• Collector's joy - Chimera and Phantom: One Chimera or Phantom drone design (in either red, orange or green), or a pack of 10 Red Phantom + 10 Red Chimera drone designs
• Collector's joy - Mirage and Enigma: One Mirage or Enigma drone design (in either red, orange or green), or a pack of 10 Orange Enigma + 10 Orange Mirage drone designs
• Goliath Surprise Pack: One Centaur, Peacemaker, Sovereign, Vanquisher, or Surgeon Goliath design. (Please keep in mind that should you already own one of these, you will not receive a duplicate identical design.)"

The FAQ Index can be good in finding out things such as this, although GG Special Rewards has no FAQ(from what I can see). Also in regards to GG Special Rewards it used to show the above in the Newsletter(breaking news) on backpage(also which Galaxy Gates have which chance rewards), but since they changed the Newsletter thing it doesn't.


Which is annoying since the chance rewards aren't always on the same gate, but if you ask about(probably especially on DO's Discord) you should be able to find out. Since it does seem to maybe follow some pattern/"recurring compounds", mods on the German forum(also some others) seem to post it(each time it's on) which I'll put a link to but be sure to check the date posted/edited(basically make sure it's been updated):

can i keep the last wave of the gate and still be eligible for sundays double weekend?

ex. say i do zeta and just save the last wave. can i get the double reward effect if i kept that last wave of zeta or do i need to do the whole gate on sundays?

 

You can do your gate up until the last wave. It won't affect the rewards at all, so long as you turn in the gate during Double Gate Reward day.
