It can be Mastercard or Visa, check the rack.
What I have heard is that the Mastercard one seems to be more reliable.

You can also use Sub Way gift card. It is re-loadable and works fine on this game. I use to use the master and visa pre-paid cards but they had stopped working for some reason, so now I use the Sub Way Gift Card.

I'm in Canada works fine.

Down here in the lower 48 there are some Gaming and Tech Center Retailers called Best Buy and GameStop that sell prepaid game cards for PC games , and are very helpful & knowledgeable in assisting ... I have used Vanilla and GameStop cards b4 ... as a Precaution I suggest sending a ticket to Support and ask them for a list of acceptable payment options for prepaid cards ... I'm about to do this myself since it has been about 7 yrs since I bought anything from BigPoint / DarkOrbit and I'm about to do several massive purchases and I myself want a secure payment verification procedure .. also there is a seldom used section in Banking ...
