[GI] Why are rank points so inflated in east coast 3?

I have 4m honor and 1.5b experience points. I'm level 19 but I'm still lieutenant? My rank points are 175k and I need 211k rank points for Chief lieutenant. Why is the ranking so high if us4 has such low populations?

The problem with the ranking system is that the game is so old and that there is so few players.

Each rank obtainable is based off the percentage of players within the company. The fewer the players, the harder it is to achieve and maintain that rank.

Plus, 4 mill honor is pretty low on many servers especially since honor is a huge factor for ranks. For example, the top players on my server GA1 all have multibillion honor.

I dont think ranks are high in us4. For example check my rank points;

its easy to be colonel as you can see. in other servers you need like 12m rp for colonel, but you can be two star with 12m rp in us4.

 

On our server, there is the bot factor. A real player can't keep up to an automated account playing 24/7. They box, kill npc's and I'm led to understand they do gates as well.

I notice the ranking doing big changes when a bunch of them are caught and deleted. Then slowly the ranks go back up until the next account deletes.

To some in this game Rank is what it's all about and believe me I can completely understand, I went from 2 star, promoted to a 1 star and then eventually to a no star.

MethicSkull is right on target with the reason why, but there is more to it than just that. Hence my post.

Ranking to me is done I only look at my ship kills number these days.

Perhaps with some merges and other methods Dark Orbit is working on this game can get back to great.

I can only hope for the best.
