Going Beyond Bullying

Ok Yesterday an [removed] came into my clans Team Speak under a fake or assumed name of another player. He went beyond bullying by stating in the TS who would do sexual things to one of our clan leaders dead daughters even going as far as to ask where she was buried.

Now I do realize this was in TS and BP admins do not handle cases in TS but what can be done about this even more so if it happens in game

Your clan should KOS him off the game or at least until you get tired of popping him.

 

Nothing can be done by support as it happened on an external program. Had it been on the chat they could have. The reason being they can't gather proof (matching IP addresses) due to having no affiliation with some of these companies.

I am greatly saddened for our fellow space pilot's loss, but to hear that such things were said to anyone is beyond any comprehension I ever dare wish to understand.

That said, what happens in Teamspeak is a bit out of our realm and it isn't quite something we can moderate.
However, if the player isn't banned already from the teamspeak, my suggestion would be to see if someone capable of doing so in the TS would do so, and possibly speak to the server admin(s) about possibly instituting a server password, or changing it if one exists.

I realize these to not effectively solve the issue, or prevent this from happening again, but if any of those suggestions are something that hasn't already been done, then I hope it might help.

Now, if it were to happen within the game;
If it happens in chat, ideally a moderator would be there to put an end to it, but unfortunately, we are not always available everywhere where and/or when we may be needed.

If it is said in chat, I would encourage that a screenshot be taken and reported to us here in forums in the chat section, or sent to support to report it to them. If it's in in-game mail, screenshot and pass it on to support as well. I believe that working together we can deal with issues like this, unfortunate as their occurrence may be.

Main tip, Mental block people like that, if thats what they have to do to fulfil their day, then they live very unhappy lives themselves.

And as people say, kick/ban is a very effective tool, and also, server admins are very considerate towards their customers, especially on a rented product such as a TS server.

I had a similar issue with a player saying sexual things about my dead grandmother. I couldn't care less about their words as they were pointless, meaningless and powerless. I did screenshot it once but couldn't be bothered to screenshot everything they said. Simply brushed it off. A waste of time and energy and they were banned minutes after.

Best thing you could do is have the TS private and only known to the select few you allow to enter it.
(personally I don't see the point of using TS when playing a 2d space game akin to space invaders...but that's a different story altogether )

Sucks to hear that. But that's happened on TS. Nothing can be done about it on DarkOrbit as Bigpoint has nothing to do with TS.

P.S: Shouldn't this thread be closed already? Mods? e.e​
