    It is possible since they came out with the G-Champion Ship which had the stats and then the flags for skins like these 2 are.

    The are an appearance thing. If you like the look then yes but it is all about vanity anymore. The only one really worth it is the Surgeon with its 6% increase across the board. Boosters and Formations are the better place to spend your money.
