Halloween Event 2015 - Feedback Thread

As far as we understand, this quest is the Special Challenge and will take a record of your time to destroy the 8 demon drones (quest should be active ofcourse). As per the FAQ, the top 10 ranked times for this challenge will receive demon drone designs (presumably a full set but i will find that out). Once you've completed this quest once, it will move to the 'challenges' section in Mission Control where you can find the ranked times and i believe, should be able to re-do it as often as you like.

It seems as if DO keeps making the same mistakes over and over. Way to many NPC for very little reward. Everything that comes out seems to just geared for UFE. I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on this game to get UFE level. I am in the mid 30's level in the game and I am just about out of ammo. I have gotten 7,000 uri from the gate so far but that will in no way begin to replace what I have used.

 

*Slipped through the crack ; event quest has no reward? hard to complete as it could take multiple gates..... A nice reward is needed! IF-4´s maybe

 

So far....

Loved the gate, ok it took a long time to complete and I certainly won't be able to do it often. But it was a nice challenge. I've seen players complain that there was no reward and it cost a lot in premium ammo. I found the amount of experience, honour, uri, creds, log disk drops, booster drops and, of course, the drone designs was a brilliant reward. As for premium ammo, well I started off the easy NPCs with x1 then purchased JOB 100 with the uri I was making and still ended up making more uri than I used on the ammo. Love it.

Pumpkins are great, although would like to see wiz rockets (or maybe I just haven't found any yet!)

Quests, a nice mix.

NPCs, loving the ghostly look to the bosses,

I almost fell a sleep when i grinded that bloody boring gate!!!

It's not challenging at all... it juts takes time and repeats itself. I got feeling, that it's never going to end! Only good side is those beautiful drones, but rest... Oh god... how boring. On top of that it eats insane amount rocks and special ammo. My gate still isn't finished, since i have life outside of game too...

I would continue, but JOB's dissappeared from shop... My brain will melt without that ammo!
Now i must wait it to come available again... I don't understand why it can not be there now, since it just was... it still is halloween? right?

I also thought in some point that i would like to reset the gate, and start oves after waiting 20 hours since grinding all day really kills all fun from it. Especially at the point where your ammo and rocks are all used. It's ridiculous!​

 

I Think the gate was very good. And to the people who think it's just impossible and give up, don't. I grinded out the gate in about 10 hours, 2-3 of which i didn't play, with only x1 with the exception of some JOB-ammo I spent on the waves 66-70 (I'm not full LF4 btw). What I'm trying to say is you don't have to spend all your ammo to finish the gate if you just take your time, there's a difference between difficult and time consuming. On top of this I received 6 demon drone designs so if you're ok with not completing all of the possible gates there will be no problem spending 2 or 3 Days on each and you'll still have a full set by the end of the event. I plan on completing more gates, not one each day but more.

 

Does anybody happen to know the drop rates of the specific drone designs that are offered in the gate? I've got several friends who've gotten these Demon designs and they look super cool.

I tried doing a few waves of the gate and both times I got the Silver Reaper.... Does anybody know the drop rate of the specific drone designs?

Aside from that I hope this gate resets every now and then to try taking a stab at getting those drone designs with those easy waves. I know a lot of people can't get past a certain point of the gate and would love to have even the lesser drone designs. Hmm..

 

Let's be honest... it is too hard unless you are ufe.I m full elite and took me 1 hour just to make wave 3/10.There must be an easy gate and a hard gate.Easy gate only gets 1 drone design at the end and hard 9 as usual.Please change it because it takes wayyyyyy toooooo long.I make 3.5k a hit without nothing and still too much time.Not only that you also waste so much ammunition and the rewards should be better than that.People that are elite have no chance and that is not fair for them.

 

From Another Universe - Can someone tell me WHERE to find the Demon drones so I can finish this silly Quest? I has you go to 107/67 on your X-4 map then kill 2 Demon drones...I've been cruising around my 2-4 map for 45 minutes and haven't seen a one. Finally canceled the mission and now getting ready (hot chocolate, port-a-potty, etc.) to do the Halloween gate.

 

did the same thing the 2 demon drones are in the gate "bad discription" by DO team. there has many poorly described issues with the event... again

load "kill 2 demon drmoens" start gate..
first demon approx wave 8 or nine, second about wave 14 or 15
make sure after each demon drone you kill {invisable but had "demon drone in red"] collect the cargo for your drone reward

then once you done the quest go load "kill 8 demon drones" same deal start of each set of waves there will be a demon drone

once you've completed all 8 then go load "complete tunnel of terror" very few will complete... probable less then 20% of the players at a guess lack of ammo will be the issues

 

Do u have to complete the gate till wave 9 for you to be able to do it again 20hrs or do u have to do it and complete it completely bc I wsa t wave 42 so way passed the demon design and I cant go any ahead anymore and where is the timer that tell me when I can do it again?

 

Okay, I'm mad. The boxes suck, and why the hell are they in battle maps for those "boxers" to get. What happened to stopping these scripts. Second off, why do you guys do nothing about real issues. You bring out new crap like the designs for drones, but don't prevent these unfair player advantage programs. And this gate... do you seriously thing noob players can do it? no I don't think so. They need event boxes to build up ammo and uridium. But no, your more interested in getting money for useless stuff. Get to know the customer, I come to rant on here because support only supports there lil power egos.

from what ive read if you have missed any demon drones on the way to wave 42 you have to complete the gate to redo "at a guess"

 

umm okay first of all you get uri and repair credits and galaxy spins etc thats not useless crap, what your screaming about is not needed if you dont want the designs dont do the gate or buy them and the reason why the boxes appear in the bmaps too is bc DO wanted everyone to benefit from the event I know I sure have and script has nothing to do with people using auto clickers thats a third party program but its not I guess taken seriousely so people use it much but it also is a gate way for trojans so let the not so smart players get there info stolen they always do I know in my server I see those players just one day gone never to be seen again so DO has nothing to do sinces the program does the work for them.From the sound of what you said you collected boxes for 5min and just started to throw a fit.

 

what is the max wave? bc I think im at 42 but I got bored so Il et myself be killed is 42 the last last wave?

from what i just read it looks like the gate "resets after 20 hours"??? i cant find an official post on this..
once again to mush finding out bits and pieces as we go

ive done 99% of the gate on x2's used about 200k of them you dont need sab that much.. but any play with out good gear etc etc will just have to wait if gate reset after the 20 hours and you can as far as i see do more demon drones up till where each person can go

 

Ill wait to see if the gate does reset if not well sorry demon designs not worth the time or uri.

 

im ufe n it was a pain to see that x4 dying. If they would make free ammo in that gate id be happy. Even for dbl boosted ufe with x4 it takes hrs. N just, id rather keep 200k x4 instead of trading it for 70k uri i got from gate

 

Well, so far after finishing Map 5 I've got about 1 1/2 hour in. Not bad, something new. Don't know if I'll keep running them (see below) because they're definitely ammo hogs.

Only real issue I had was that I use my PET in Autolooter to gather cargo - and in this case - the invisible Demon drone's cargo (design). In random incidents when running the "regular" GG the PET drops into Passive mode when I gatet to the next map. Now it did it in the Halloween gate. Happened on my 3rd drone and I didn't realize until it was too late that the little Nitwit did it again. So while i got the kill credit for the drone, I didn't get the design. So once this gate is done I'll have to run another just to get the 10th Demon design.
