Home page rank different than Hall of Fame records.

HI,
Not a big deal here but as the title states, the rank displayed for my ship on the home page has been higher (the numerical rank, mine says 189th atm) than the rank in the hall of fame records....When I go to the hall of fame records it shows me at 178th. I believe the lower number to be correct, as it fluctuates quicker and more frequently, I'm just wondering why there is the difference? They have always been the same for me up until 2 or so months ago.

 

There is often issues with suspended players still counting towards top user ranking when they shouldn't, this could be the cause but then again 11 suspended accounts in the top 200 all still counting towards top user does seem a bit much. However that is all I can think of until someone provides a better answer.

You are probably right in assuming the lower number is the correct one.

Well sometimes there is a issue with ranks and the ranks might be different from what you see in top user ranks page as compared to the the rank displayed in your Hall of Fame overview page (Home Page) this might be due to suspension, inactivity of players and several different reasons but always count your rank which is displayed on Hall of Fame overview as your most recent rank.
