How about the Forum Mods HELP instead of Just Closing A post!

Hey I have an Idea, Instead of just closing a thread, stating that the rules say that "This type of post isn't allowed in this section! Closed!" Why at very least refer the person to the CORRECT area for this type of post! Hmmm, as I said this is the LEAST you could do! At the old forum the mods might even move the post to the correct area for a post. Especially since this is a NEW forum and people may not fully understand where a post goes, "this should be clear, since I read the rules for the "Update & Idea" section it does say that this is not the section for Voting or Polls. Okay that was on me for not reading the rules first before posting. (However, with this rule should be the name of the area to post these.) Myself & others don't want to have to search each individual section, read the rules for that individual section just to figure out where we CAN post our thoughts!

Then I decide lets try the search option. I type in Polls & Voting! Low and behold it seems that several others, have had the same thought. I see several polls & voting threads have been posted in the Update and Idea section, and then closed by the mods.

Bottom Line, besides moderating the forum, the MODERATORS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HELPFUL!

Polls are not permitted in the Update & Idea Pool section, which is why the thread was closed (it actually should have been deleted, so I will get that remedied shortly).

The only section where polls are permitted for public discussion is Speakers' Corner (at the moment); however, we do not permit idea threads to be posted in there simply to get a poll in - hence why the thread was not moved. If you wish to suggest a change to the game, then the Update/Idea section is the correct place to post. We do not permit polls because we prefer to receive actual feedback on the ideas raised, instead of a simple yes/no response.

You are welcome to re-raise your idea in that section without a poll for players to discuss, or you can post in Speakers' Corner for a more general discussion (although we do not recommend any threads from that section as potential game updates).
The choice is up to you.

With regards to the Section Rules, I will consider the suggestion to add the correct place to present a poll, however we are still reviewing the sections themselves at this time. It may be another month or two before everything is fully decided on.
