How should I spend my uri?

Hi. So I'm relatively new and I plan on spending some cash on uri if I manage to catch a happy hour. I've been doing some research on my own but I was wondering if anybody had any advice that I haven't heard of yet as to how to spend that uri. I currently have a Leonov with 4xLF3 and 2xLF2, 4 Flax with LF2, 4x7900, 2xBo2. I also have an unallocated Vengeance and currently working on my Skylab.

I was thinking of getting 2 more LF3s, 4 more Bo2s and 2 more 7900s for when I need to run. Then a PET with the auto looter and possibly trader if I can afford it. Then some IRIS drones and some Bo2s for the drones if I still have uri left over.

I understand though that there might be some debate whether the PET is worth it this early on because it doesn't do a lot of damage. The reason I want to get it is because I tend to keep moving around when fighting stuff making it hard for me to loot. Plus it's not available on auction either. I'm wondering though if it's worth actually looting everything in the lower maps where I will be spending most of my time in until I upgrade from the Leonov.

Oh and I also have some specific questions:

1. Because IRIS drones are so much harder to get on auction, should I focus on getting the IRIS drones and just buy equipment for the drones later using any left over uri/credits? Or, heck, should I go buy those drones first before anything else and just use what's left over for lasers and generators and maybe get them on auction?

2. Also, since drones get more expensive each time I buy one, at what point should I stop spending uri to buy them and just try to grab them on auction?

3. I probably won't be spending on a hangar slot until much later but is getting a hangar slot worth it for using the Vengeance? Or should I wait until I get a Goliath to buy another hangar slot? Or should I just skip the hangar slot altogether and just replace the Leonov with the Vengeance/Goliath once I can equip them?

 

To the especific questions
1.- Iris are harder, we know. But you can farm NPC on X-7 or 4-5. Get a group and you will get high rewarded with credits that you will need. Plus the uridium is better to use in "Just uri" things, as upgrades (Iris are allways first), and Pilot Bio
2.- If want to spend uri on Iris, it's okay but only to the 4th drone, past that, it becomes expesinve as hell, so nope to get all Iris with uri
3.-Get yout vengance as soon as you get every single engine it needs. then you will be safer for adventure the galazy.

 

Thanks for the tips peluchekun. I think I'm going to gear up the Leonov a bit more before bringing out the Vengeance. I'm not comfortable with taking on NPCs in the higher maps with a Vengeance unless I can fit it with all LF3s. As it is, I believe my Leonov already does slightly more damage in the home maps than a Vengeance (with no design bonuses) with 10xLF3 and I feel like I'm still not doing enough damage with it.

For now concentrate on Skylab, get it leveled up.Use credit from Skylab to help when
bidding on iris's, LF-3's and generators from the auction. Save uri for pet, 2nd hanger and keys for yellow booties to help get parts for Apis drone. Once your Leo is FE continue until you can fully equip the Vengie.

1.2&3 Your 1st 4 or five drones you can buy if you want, the rest bid with creds. Don't buy if you cant put Bbo2 and LF-3 on them. Once Venge is FE equipped and got pet with Kami you can kill what you want in uppers. Now grind for Goli. You"ll need second hanger to help with palling once you start building gates.

 

The first thing I would get is full 7900 they are relatively cheep and help you get about and hopefully get away from any enemy.
Then for me it was always fire power next so lf3s, the harder you hit the fast you can farm npcs so get more credit, ep, uri and honour faster, and best credit shield, full flax as and when you have items to put on them , buy the first few iris with uri. ( however these days depending on the number of new players, players needing auction iris they go cheap. These days ( a few mil in some servers )so it may be better to get them with credit.
You only need iris when you have filled up flax with useful items so consider which will increase you fire power/shield the most.

Getting your skylab upgraded is a major benefit so work out how to upgrade it the fastest, for me I had the collectors 2 levels above the first set of refiners then the prom refiner and xeno 1 level below that.

Focusing on the best npc helps a lot and with your current spec, lords, siamons, and mordons, would return the best results.

Save any booty keys for the Zeus event (gold booty boxes) as you get a chance of both apis and zeus blue prints and can get the apis free while chancing a cheaper zeus drone and also the chance of lf4s.

The leo is a good ship until you can fully equip a better ship, even then it is still a good ship even with 8 iris an apis and zeus and 9 lf4s I still use my leo for own company lowers. Not that I play much these days.
