How to advance in this game - new player

I have been playing this game a long time ago. I have returned back, see a lot of changes around. But, I have one major problem: I am getting shot by UFE's every 5 seconds. It's annoying to that level that I can not even complete quests in x-2 map. I have registered on Global Europe 1 server.

So, I thought about getting Vengeance maybe, from auction so I can make some credits from upper maps and get Irises and stuff. But, before all of that, I am worried about my uridium. If I continue to get killed like this, I don't think I will have enough uridium to repair my ship, really.

Any advice is more than welcome!

Hey, ship repairing is free, you do not need any uridium for that Only repairing to gate or the spot you were destroyed costs something.
Try to buy Leonov from auction, it will do much more damage in lower maps since it has "bonus" which causes LF2 for example to do 200d mg instead of normal 100 if equipped in ship, also has more HP. Drones will do normal damage.

Do not use any uridium for repairs, save up and try to buy few Irises with uri. When you have maybe like 2 Iris and 6 flax and ship full of LF2 (you can buy LF2 with credits now directly from the shop, they changed this some time ago ). At this point upgrade to a Goliath, with 2500 dmg (4k if you upgrade your skylab!) you should be able to kill kristallons alone. This will boost your money earning extremely fast, try to get a few more Iris with uri depending on how you feel about the cost or use uri for LF3 It takes practise to shoot Kristallons, when I started this game I had no hope of doing it with 2k damage but these days I can do it with 0,5k You just need to learn how to spin around aliens out of their range so you can shoot. Good to practise with Devolariums and Sibelons.

Number one tip: upgrade your skylab so you will have seprom and prometium to sell for lots of extra money! It will take time before it reaches level 20 but trust me it is worth it. I see many new players who reach FE status without using skylab, then they are in big trouble since they are pretty much useless without seprom. Do not be that guy and upgrade the Skylab From 1,5 million to 3 million credits (depending on your honor, the more honor the more credits from selling) for 3000 prometium is a good price

And just keep getting up after you die, deaths are cost free, it was a great update from BP Pretty much nothing you can do expect trying to stay close to jump gates. Do not get frustrated about it, stronger shoot weaker, if not then what would be the point of getting stronger it is the nature of this game

Dunno how experienced you are so maybe some of this stuff is already clear to you but anyways, feel free to ask more about anything.

 

Something else to think about is that there is a warning on the mini map that tells you if the x1 or x2 map has an enemy in it. When there are enemies, stay near port until they leave. You are on a pretty busy server so you have to keep your eyes open and be aware of what is happening.

 

So, as I have read, uridium ships are free repair? I know that back in the days I had to pay like 500 uridium if I am not wrong to repair in base. I know that there are repair credits, so I am asking if by any chance you thought of using repair credits? Or it is really free-repair for uridium ships?

Thank you for the reply too. I am having the eye on the mini map, but it is really, really full of enemies. It is a relief that the uridium ships are free repair in base. The big trouble was about the uridium cost for repairing.

I thought of getting first a Vengeance maybe, cause I liked boxing back in the days. Thoughts? I thought first to make FE Vengeance, than Goliath?

PS. Skylab is already on lvl 4

 

The bad thing is there are not really too many quests for the x1 and x2 maps. Vengi, or Leo is great for lowers will help a lot. You are right about the enemies. They are everywhere, speed will be key, but be aware that they will use speed as well. Make some friends and work in groups, you will live longer.

If you feel like getting Vengeance then sure, it is not a bad ship.

And if you have not noticed, it is possible to have multiple ships without deleting the previous one by purchasing extra hangar halls. 2nd one costs 50k uri to open and 3rd 45k etc. This way you can have Goliath and Vengeance or even more ships at the same time if you feel like it

Spearhead is also a pretty good ship, faster than Vengeance but weaker. But it has nice abilities like "ultimate cloak" which makes you invisible even from the minimap so you can't be destroyed for 30 seconds (can't be activate if someone is already shooting at you, but with your speed you can get out of range and activate it), reloads every 5 minutes so it is nice thing to have if you are boxing and enemy starts following

Things above only if you think you can farm some extra uri enough for those, having only Vengeance is a good option too Boxing is good if your company controls battlemaps (4-x) so you will get 50% more stuff there Dunno if you are ready to use any money on this, but box doubler can be bought for 1 week for just 2€. So 1 week of power boxing and paying 2€ for double rewards is not too bad. You can still do good without using a penny don't worry

 

If you start new, you will change DO Server. Global Europe1 is a very difficult server. You wont be strong quickly. You choose easy servers, i advice USA West etc.

I am not on the Britain servers, I am Global EUROPE 1 server.

I have been considering Vengeance for now, to box for equipment first on lower maps. Than, I would go on PvP map to get more uridium. I need some good equipment first, I guess. Have in plan to buy 2 Irises first, before doing anything else, so I can purchase more Irises with credits on auction.

 

Wrong, got mine and averaged 20 mil each in GB1. But I have heard that its high in global. I don't know myself but have been thinking about joining... both, GA and GE...

I would go with the leo before a vengi in the lowers you will hit a lot harder in the beginning. Then start fill it with lf3s and bo2s until you have enough to fill a vengi.
Vengi is a great ship I love mine.
