If Killed Alot...

if one player killed me so many times , am i able to ban him ?

 

it would be nice to have some kind of bully system in game it would of kept a lot of people from quitting i bet

as for the ? i dunno contact support with proof

 

There is a bully system set up but people work around it. A player only gets honor and exp for 2, I think, consecutive kills, but I think it may reset if the player kills another player/npc and then comes back. If it seems you have been popped very often by the same player in a regular map while just doing, say npc quests, you have three options:

1. Whisper the player and asked to be left alone, respectfully if possible...
2. Report it to support. Support will look at the players activity and make a decision.
3. Log off or leave to another map.

Also be aware that during certain events you could find yourself shot at a lot. Kills during these events do not count against you. There are also quest that call for pvp kills. Some are for certain maps. Quest for pirate maps, 4-4, 4-5, etc...

 

This is how it works. If a player kills you 4 times, they get normal amount of ep and honor. from 5th kill it starts to decrease to the point they get nothing. If they keep killing you normally the system would catch then, but its best to report them.

 

Keep playing and get a vengi but only after a leo and u can outfit it then "run forrest run"

 

We all have are space stalkers, stay out of chat and switch to another map and never tell anyone in chat where your at even in whisper. Also, if the map your in has a lot of things going on like multiple people shooting NPC's you could become a target of convience and end to a players quest. Best option is to jump to another map and log off for a while.

 

It makes no sense... how would they ban a player for killing another player so many times, i know it looks weird but in the first place this game is about killing... fighting etc... why would they ban or punish a user for killing another player.
note: one thing is committing pushing the other one is killing a total different player many times.
but theres is a system already like dreamdemon said, after the 4th 5th kill they start getting less rewards from your kill so they will eventually stop killing you or if they dont well thats their decision but sanctioning a user for killing another user many times should not be an option for support to take action on.

 

this is a pvp game if you dont like dieing go play farmville

 

As little sense as it makes, if you were a newbie, would you like it if a player targeted you and you alone? It does happen, it happens through wars too, someone sees you are weak, they send war, and only target you. It's called bullying, and if DO allowed it, BP would be in deep crap.

It does happen though for whatever reason. I had to deal with it when I first started. I just did the things that have been suggested. Did not chat much, changed maps, or logged for a bit. The bully gets tired of waiting for you and moves on. It helps to have quest that have to be completed in different maps so you have something to do if your having issues working one quest, you can go work on something else and maybe the first map will cool off while you are gone. Sometimes its enemy players, a lot of times I had to dodge my own company. Now I get badgered for not chatting when spotted. LOL It helps to make some friends to work on things with and then you have some help in those crazy situations. Also, you start to find that you can laugh more when you are popped. Its a pvp game true, but there are limits to how much one person can take getting blown to bits when they are just npc shooting or picking up ore for quests.

If it is always the same player shooting you, ask the player to give you some breathing room for a while. Most players are understanding and if you have been popped a couple of times will oblige your request. I finally had to ask someone to back off in GB1 so I could finish a sib quest. Just needed 1, and it took me over an hour to get it due to just one player.

Unfortunately, for all, there are lots of pvp quests, and the amounts to kill get to be enough to drive anyone insane. 500 of this, 500 of that. You will be there one day trying to figure out how you will get them done. Just remember your NOOB plight when that time comes.

 

It sucks that there are pilots out there that bully others because they are UFE or have numbers, but i can assume most of us were in a similar situation when we started out as noobs. there were far mroe players though and clans were always willing to help out and then the fun started clan vs clan defending their clan members. If you have a few clan memebrs or friends online, have them cloak up help you out.

If you are getting intentionally bullied, there is a thread about bullying. As for common port sitting it's just best to log off for a few minutes and do something else. This is a game and most of us want to have fun on here and some1 camping us is no fun. take a few minutes offline and come back later. Avoiding chat would help hide your presence, but then what fun is the game without chat lol. Fly safe and take care ^_^

 

I sat at port open up the forum and read for 10 mins. They had the old forums up then and i learned a lot of DO history; eventually they'd leave.

 

Everyone has made some appropriate comments as to how to avoid these type of situations. I will emphasize that if you feel a player is targeting you that you report it to support to be investigated further. If there is nothing further may we close the thread?

 

Both players get banned for "pushing" the system catches the person who killed you ,maybe 50 times in last 2 hours or so, and bans you as if you were helping them, both players get punished for "pushing" even if you only killed him 5 or 10 times in return.

Almost sounds as if you are asking if i LET someone kill on purpose can i get him banned because i dont like the player
