Ingame Chat working again

Hello Space Pilots,

Some of you experienced some major bans and bad insults on behalf of the Bigpoint team in the chat at the end of last week. We would like to explain what happened:

There have been some massive attacks on our chat systems together with account hacks during the last week. Some accounts from moderators and former moderators have been taken over, and the evil hackers did some bad jokes in the chat - including insulting players and fooling around with the banning rights to ban players.

We truly apologize for this incident. They discovered some weaknesses in the security systems and exploited them.

Of course, none of our moderators would say bad things to our players or insult them. But nevertheless, we want to apologize to you even if the insults weren't done by our staff! The bans should have been lifted again.

We worked hard during the weekend to install some additional and harder security measures so that the systems are now protected. The ingame chat needed to be shut down during the weekend to avoid additional misuse before everything was in place. Now we reactivated it again and also our moderators are again able to have an eye on the chat and to moderate it accordingly. If there are still any issues on player side, please contact our support team so that we can give you a helping hand.
