Internet Providers

Hi,

We are looking at getting a Satellite Internet Provider. I am curious if anyone has Satellite Internet and what kind of issues they may or may not have with it when it comes to D.O.
We spoke to a Sales Rep and he stated that their may be some lag issues with online gaming. But Not all games are created equal. So I am asking what kind of issues do players with Satellite Internet are having.

I personally don't have satellite internet, but I know for a fact that it is not very good for online gaming, especially with something like Dark Orbit where there are at least 30 things moving on the screen at once when shooting cubes. Online checkers? Great. Massively multiplayer online gaming? Not so much.

If you want fast internet for gaming, go with cable, fios, or if your city has it, Fiber.

 

if u get saterlite internet u will lag like mad as its wifi but it can get through a phone line but that recorse a 15.00 pound charge for usen a phone line so i would go for virgin media or bt its allways better to be wired to internet rather than wifi it wont be eny gd for online games as u will lag plus u get interferance from mobils
