There is a group of players who have left their clan (which we are at war with) and constantly drop mines on players at/on the clans base. (1 player who has left his clan has so far dropped over 100 mines on the base in the last few hours)
They receive no penalty for attacking people from their own company, they are helping legitimate war targets in their war effort, yet if you pop them to discourage them dropping mines you will lose honor.

    Suggestion;
If you deliberately drop a mine on an occupied company base owned by a clan that is at war with another clan, you become a legitimate war target for a limited time. IE; Any member of the clan who owns the base and their allies (who are present helping to defend), are able to shoot the person dropping the mines without loss of honor..
With every mine you lay that damages the same people, the length of time you are able to be shot at as a war target (no loss of honor) is increased.

EG; Drop 1 mine on a company base - No penalty
A 2nd mine dropped on the same base, damaging the same ships would get you 5 mins of aggression time, so anyone from that clan can pop you without losing honor. Each additional mine you drop on that base will extend the aggression timer by an additional 5 mins.

  2. Great idea, love it... same with leachers, leave clan shoot ur cube run off.

Also, if you have someone in your clan who is willing, let them go to a different company and shoot em all down with your assistance. Or just get a friend in another company and get em to smash em all :)

  3. You have a good idea but im afraid some people in their hotkeys has Mines , so what happens when some player accidently pressed a DDM.

So you are saying an accident of pressing a mine will result that player to be destroyed?

Or maybe when there are like 15 enemy trying to destroy one of your company base and a player (who defends the company base) use a DDM mine more then 1 time to reduce the enemy hp is going to recieve a penalty?

  4. Their mines are meant for the enemy supposedly :oops::rolleyes: = you

  5. As titan said, the idea hits if they drop multiple mines not just the ONE which means they must be doing it purposely if they do it many times.
Also, its multiple mines not just the one so one mine not multiple ones

  6. What if lots of enemy company attacking an company base with the Hull Mod as the target , it would be laggy and some people who defends the base would just press ddm more than ONCE.

So the player who is defending base by putting mine to pop the enemy who is attacking Hull mod is going to get an penalty?

  7. Bad idea.

What are other suggestions going to be?

Penalties for killing players of your company numerous times because those players clans are at war with a clan you have an alliance?

Penalties for killing players of your company because they shot (maybe accidentally) a relative or friend of yours who also plays the game?

Penalties for clans or players who go round & cube too much?

Penalties for players who do bosses & ubers & will not invite other players into outfits?

The list can be made endless for imposing penalties for different things.

Come on, this is only a silly game after all & some of you players are taking the game too seriously.

if you don't like what goes on & what other players do ... THEN DON'T PLAY THE GAME!

  8. it's easy fix. all they have to do is to give kills to mine owner. so if i put mine and someone die from it i should get kill. no mater what kill it is positive or negative.
one time we made a base and someone come with phoenix without drones, and shoot us all the time while 50 other ships where trying to destroy base. it was not posible to rep or to do anything. some of my friends killd that phoenix like 100 times he was repairing on spot and port and coming back. it is stupid how some ppl play but what can we do

  9. Seems like the OP isn't active in posting his opinion about our opinion in Bad / Good Ideas in this thread....

  10. All DO has to do is make it a Company mine - the OP didn't mention faction, so. MMO mines shouldn't damage MMO is what you are referring too , but to VRU and EIC only.

  11. yea but only problem is that mines don't work that way.
it can't dmg you or your company ok, but can you triger your own mine then or co mine?

  12. Silly thing to say. that statement of yours is basically saying theres no point in having update n idea pool. Clearly things can be made different and thats why we suggest them, stop being so closed minded

  13. Yeah tbh ive only really thought one option would work which is:

  14. How about, receiving negative honor, when landing mines on hull module witch is your own company, and not at clan or pact with clan, witch owns that base?

If you are at war with that clan you can land mines there, without penalty.

  15. And the base should shoot you for dropping mines on it too if you drop in the centre

  16. I completely agree, yes i understand that it is quite annoying and bothersome, but its a game, and people will do things to erk u and make u lose honor so that you lower in rank. BUt look, maybe it should be something where if a same company player attacks your base with mines, then they become red until the exit the map. Also, maybe it can uncloak em when they release the mine?

  17. Nice idea but how much honor do you think will be lost if a player lands a mine on hull mod?

Sorry, I don't sit and watch the forums 24/7. When I have time I respond.
OR if you are legitimately at war with a clan..

EG; clan XX1 is at war with YY1, both are MMO. If XX1 attacks YY1 with mines, they work as intended. But if a neutral party - someone not legitimately part of the war - drops a mine, it will not detonate unless hit by someone from another company.
If you perform an aggressive act toward the base (try to damage it) It should shoot at you whether that damage is by a mine or any other offensive weapon. Agreed..
EG; 10 honor for 1 mine X100% for each additional mine, so 2 mines is 20, 3 mines 40, 4 mines 80 and so on. Not a lot for a few mines but when (like happened the other day) it gets to over 100 mines, your losing a lot of honor by performing what is essentially a hostile act.
    - - - -
Ideally, if you are not involved in the war, so neutral to all parties AND the base, you would lose honor for attacking the base AND become a legitimate target (for a limited time) to ALL parties involved in the war.

If you want to participate in a clan war by dropping mines on a group defending a base, you must be allied to the clan you are assisting OR be treated as a hostile, who is essentially using a poor game mechanic to inflict damage on his own company with no consequences.

Sorry for the double post but this response I wanted to address separately as it is somewhat confusing as to how bombs work.
1st, I am not talking about company vs company. It is about same company clan wars.
2nd, If someone is dropping mines on a base during a battle for that base, they are actually HELPING the attackers by damaging the base and those trying to defend it. So yes, there should be consequences for that.

I would hate to be "that guy" who while trying to help defend your base, drops a bomb on an SOS base that destroys 2 of the SOS guys (or allies) trying to defend it and also damages the base itself.

  20. Mine cannot damage bases
