Ion Storm Event

An event where an ion storm temporarily disables the jump chip so newer players can see what it was like when you had to organize to get through b-maps.
Timing and duration are a matter for further debate, but I think the basic idea could be good for the game if not overdone.

it's not about me - it's about the new players who depend on cooperation to achieve something, new players who have no idea how good they have it nowadays (that should cause a stir)

 

You know what, I like this, maybe it should be something that occurs through out the year, at random. we need more of a challenge and although I love jump chips, i dont mind seeing folks fly through bmaps.

back then we didn't have UFEs hunting 24/7, did not have sepron, and had to collect prom to upgrade i think we had it easy back then at least if you were FE you could fight back and skill determined the outcome not a CC

 

How does not allowing the use of a jump chp have anything to do with noobs? Its an event that sall, its not permanent.

 

I like it but then I dont at the same time. I dont really see the point in forcing level 11-14 (whatever level it is to access x-8 maps) to have to go through b maps would do. I do think though if this is added why not make it so its throw back damage too so have it all capped at those low damage like in the old days. Would be funny to see some 5min fights again.
