Is it just me?

Is it just me? If I was a developer on a game I would see it as my personal responsibility to frequently log in and experience it as a player. Perhaps I would even engage with the game community on forums such as this one and via game related social media.
Sadly this clearly hasn't happened for a long time.
If a developer actually bothered to play the game maybe they would notice the robotic NPC style movements of the vast majority of ships on the maps and I would be angry that they're not playing fair.
If it was me, I would do a lot more than a 3 day ban then allow the cheats to return with all their ill gotten gains intact - that policy clearly is not working!
As one of the few remaining players that actually play the game as intended with a mouse and keyboard I sincerely despair when I have a daily mission to shoot a few Kristallons and struggle to find one that isn't already being botted.
I cling to the hope that when all servers eventually get transferred to the Unity engine a proper anti cheat mechanism will be in place.
Otherwise what is the point in a mere human being with a life competing with AI that plays 24/7? Will the last human please turn off the lights so that the bots can play?
