Is TA helping? Fe VS UFE every time

hey guys i love this idea of playing against other players from different servers, its a great idea. But ive lost almost every battle in TA this is because im fighting ufe players all the time.is it fair that i go against some1 with 1.2mil shields and lazers can hit 100-150k? While i have only 300k shields and can reach 40k x4!!! Im not getting any Training.(as the name suggests TRAINING ARENA!!!). I am wandering if any1 else is getting this problem. Darkorbit please help the little guy out. Then maybe we might stay on a little longer.

 

I believe they should put a matchmaking system in that puts us against equal opponents. That would be great!

 

It is called Jackpot. Yeah, I would love a non-Jackpot TA.

 

Uhm... he's talking about the newly added Trainings Arena, which isn't Jackpot Battle.

 

TA was suppose to MATCH those with Same Eguipment.. the UFE have numerous Lf4s compaired to an FE with ALL Lf3s.. That don't Sound Like a Fair MATCH .. unless It was meant to Bee a Flash Burn..

Hopefully it will MATCH the UPGrades and Pilot BIO as well..

im always getting ufe!!! Its never a fair fight.

 

I just won against the same guy 3 times so I stopped trying to get matches. He didn't even want to shoot me on the 2nd fight. The matching doesn't seem too fair with the way it's currently set up. Perhaps your opponents rank could be displayed before you click to join the fight in case a chief major or basic colonel doesn't want to go up against a basic general, for example?

As the OP says, it's called training arena and when the player is serious out-matched they aren't really learning anything other than how to die. At least in the maps they have a chance to evade but in TA they have nowhere to run, not fun.

I think whats happening here is that they are matching players based on rank in the game level 18 vs level 18 etc, as far as equipment, i dont think they are matching it. BUt then again, there are not alot of people doing TA so what DO is doing is instead of letting you wait 12 hours, they will just pair you up. Perhaps they should still give rewards if you lose.

 

This is exactly what is happening.
For the non-UFE people looking for TA matches they have to just accept, there probably isn't actually anyone else with the same equipment as you searching for a match a the same time you are.

You would either have to wait hours to get a match or just get paired up with someone not equal. If you had to wait half a day to find someone then you would be complaining about that too - ultimately TA is for UFE to fight UFE.



Just on a side note though, matchmaking is not based on experience level, its on equipment. My GE1 is lv18 and I have fought lv25 and lv24 plenty of times because of my equipment.

 

AH i didnt know that, i was just going by what was mentioned in other posts about TA. Either way, every new event they create will have issues and it takes threads like these to help correct it.

USA West Coaster here.. the only Server I play.. and let me tell ya.. I got my Hands full.. a Bannana and Supreme Cressant in One hand and Good Beer in an Recycled Seprom Mug.. in the other,

 

I played one round of this TA and got violated by someone with a slightly bigger ship, granted I was lazy and didn't have any rocks on, I then proceeded to rage quit.
