    Jackpot Arena Changes

More Competition – all prizes paid in Euro

    Greetings, Space Pilots!

Today we are announcing Jackpot Arena related changes!

As you know, the Jackpot Arena is a very competitive PvP experience where players from various servers have the opportunity to fight against each other, and progress through matches until the strongest one wins the final battle and get awarded the main prize.

As DarkOrbit got modernized and evolved into DarkOrbit Reloaded, we have not just looked at the visual experience and game mechanics, but also evaluated which activity is most popular amongst the players.

When looking through the numbers of the Jackpot Arena participation, we realized that participants in the US and EU Jackpot Arenas are in fact mainly from EU servers, which means that we are providing two different platforms for mostly EU players to play in.

We evaluated this, and decided that to make the Jackpot Arena even more competitive we’d do two changes:

We will have one Jackpot Arena across all servers for the first time in DarkOrbit’s history. On a monthly basis we will have one true winner, who comes out as the strongest of all the pilots from all servers!

No matter from which eligible country the participant is from, this one single winner will be paid out in Euro. This, of course, represents a higher prize money for participants from the US.

We hope that this change will advance the competitive nature of the Jackpot Arena even further, and so will incentivize even greater participation.

As always, we would like to hear your constructive feedback to make the game better, so please leave a comment in our forum >>Here<<.

    Thanks a lot.

    Your DarkOrbit team
