  1. Hi everyone,

Since the situation has arisen that for the first time in a while we cannot determine the winner of the June JPA because both finalists had to be disqualified, we would like to remind you of the Terms and Conditions governing the Jackpot Arena.

As is stated in Section 3, in order to participate in the DarkOrbit JPA you may not use an account that has been traded or is shared, or that we otherwise believe to have used third party software. There are other factors as well, but these have been the main reasons for disqualifying the winners of this and several previous JPAs.

    Jackpot Arena Terms & Conditions

    Sec. 3 Jackpot Arena Disqualification

    (2) Bigpoint reserves the right to disqualify/ban players from current and future Jackpot Arena competitions if they violate any of the Terms & Conditions.

    (3) Anyone who illegally manipulates the game in any way to gain an advantage will be disqualified/banned from participation. In this case, cash prizes will be declared invalid and recalled.

    (ref. http://www.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/board/threads/jackpot.2526/)

Once a JPA has ended, we are checking for these factors and determine if the winner is eligible. Should we find that the account has been traded, shared, or if there is any evidence for violation of our rules as laid out in the Terms & Conditions, the account is disqualified and is liable to being permanently banned!

Should it become evident that the runner-up has also been breaking the rules then this account is also disqualified and may be banned too.

As we find ourselves in this exact situation right now, we have decided to declare this JPA void and will not repeat it as we are closer to the JPA’s July date.

Please understand that under the current conditions and with such an amount of real money at stake, we needed to reconsider our previously shown occasional leniency and emphasize the importance of fair play in the game.

Thank you for your consideration and we hope you understand.

    Your Dark Orbit Team
