Jackpot issues

So as the jackpot passed and the EU jackpot was Void, my question and many others question still stand is the use of warping to multiple ships LEGAL?

Personally the strategy used here IS legal except that i though you were not suppose to be able to cloak in JPA? unless im wrong i was just wondering so we can all start doing this from now on unless of course the use of warp in JPA becomes unusable ... i hope someone in the top can give me a VERY good answer =D

 

Yes i think this is cheating in my opinion.... =/ kinda defeats the purpose of BEST fighter wins...

 

I am wondering the same, there is another tread made by Okapi32 about this issue and the citadel running... if this is legal, then I think almost all people will start to do such a things to have a chance to win the 10 000$, we hope to have a formal answer from DO developers, because if this is legal, I can be sure, this will be not 1v1, but who survives the most time in the rad zone LOL

 

Wow well this should be looked at... i love to fight people but not to play hide and seek... this is not jackpot arena ... unless this is valid then everyone will do it next week

Yes you can clock in jpa any skill is legal and about the changing ship in jpa before it starts you can change but after it starts changing in it is just a silly mistake that will make you lose it and barely you can change it during a fight and a fight in jpa last few moments

a silly mistake..? that guy won the JPA by doing this and well i dont think switching to multiple spearheads is silly if it makes you win 100% sure... this guy switched to about 5 spearheads before switching to the citadel at the end to secure having the most HP after the rad zone started...

 

Obviously this needs to be looked into, if this is the case i'll get full hangers and have several spearheads and even get the citadel to win.... Don't think that it is right as thought that the JPA was 1v1 based that included fighting...this shows just surviving. Think this needs to be fixed where either you can't warp into other ships or make the fighting section like in the palli field where it disables the ultimate cloaking ability of the spearhead.

Ultimate cloak is actually a banned tactic in JPA, although I do wonder why DO didn't just disable that one ability.

So in short, even if the JPA wasn't declared void for the 15% of players being unable to enter then the winner would not receive their reward due to using a banned tactic.

Warping into other ships is legal but cloaking is not, this tactic we see in the video is useless without the cloaking so warping would be useless too.

 

so if this is the case then why wasnt the American JPA void if there was use of this also?

 

The European one was declared void due to connection issues, not this tactic. If HBK won using this tactic he will not receive his money.

If someone used it in the American JPA and you / someone you know lost to them then it's just bad luck, and extremely annoying, it's like when a stage 1 bot ship beats you in JPA: they are not allowed to receive a prize yet they can still enter.

 

Alright then... well then i suggest Bigpoint REMOVES the option to warp ships because if people can do it all the time then they will just do it for the fun of it so no one wins the jackpot and bigpoint will not REdo and waste another month...

 

Guys we should not forget spearhead got its own skill of clocking so that isnt a clock we would say that was banned by do

It states specifically in the JPA rules that Ultimate Cloaking, the spearhead skill that makes it cloak up, is a blacklisted item therefor an illegal tactic :s

Theres another problem DO always forgets and idk why they ignore it... the ratio on the rad zone in JPA should be changed same with the HP at the end of the round. Because it doesn't make sense whoever has more HP at the end of the round because if you compare a Citadel to a goli the citadel always wins. They should have it to whoever has the most % of their maximum HP not the set amount. Same with the Rad zone it should not take 20k every second but a % of your MAX Hp Just like in the game... its like they dont want us to fight 1v1 like the JPA is made to use citadels ...

 

For this reason that you should pop citadel before the radiation starts because it has low damage power compare to a goli... People have different tactics and this is what the JPA is all about and is not only for uber FE players. We the non-Uber fe can have the chance too..

At the end of the day, it's not about who has the highest damage or who has the highest shields or HP, but who is the smartest... truly worthy of the title... Jackpot Winner!!!

 

The last Jackpot winner truly deserves the title because he was able to think ahead of us! He was thinking out-of-the-box and a true warrior . Winning is not just fighting to the death where you know you have no chance against those rich kids playing this game.

I admire him for being so smart and I think Bigpoint should hire people like him in developing this game in the future...

Let me ask you.. If that was against the rules of JPA, then why did DO still enable them to be used if they know that?

Do should actually thank him for thinking that bizaare way of fighting and maybe next time they will think like him..
