Kappa Gate Advice?

    Any advice on completing Kappa Gate would be appreciated.

    You have to hit hard and have some speed to run for repairs...

    If it's your first time send all the NPC to corners instead of running after them!
    If you kill too many in 1 wave the next wave will come out just making it more difficult for you.

    If you have an aegis do it in that, will be much easier.

    as opaki said, an aegis makes it much easier. move a little off center of the map so that all the aliens will run to one corner. the only wave you need to do differently is wave 7. 6 boss lordakium will take forever if you put them all in the same corner.

    Not really....
    If you keep yourself within a distance in the corner then the aliens in the corner wont attack you but you can attack them :D
    Don't kill the boss lord 1 by 1 because if you kill them a lot the protegit will come and you will have a hard time repairing....

    its not hard to rep in gates any more with the rep on the fly and most ships is was faster then prots now. as for the 6 Boss BLs if you have Moth it works wonders on them and you can Kill 3 of them without the prots commin out.

    Heres some good advice quit this game before your 50 odd gates deep into the worlds most expensive game in history for 10 daft drone covers.

    If your doing kappa make sure you have alot of Uri ....
    It takes me 35 kappa just to get 10 hercs and 8 lf4

    I did my first Kappa with:
    1st Config: Ship: 10 7900s | 5 B02s
    Drones: All Lasers

    2nd Config: Ship: 15 7900s (partial suicide)
    Drones: 2 B02s, rest LF3s

    I had moth too, so it worked wonders. Just put on about 130k sep (on lasers) and you are good for the gate (assuming you are full LF3)

    Also, don't pop the NPCs, when they start running, let them go until they stop coming.

    I have done several hundred gates in my time with this game and the best advice I can give is summed up in 1 word "PATIENCE"! Rep when you can, move off when you are overwhelmed and always keep a speed config! Remember, there is no extra reward for how fast you complete a gate so take your time, have patience and play smart!
