    Hello everyone,

Yesterday, we introduced the first new Galaxy Gate in several years.

With your help prior to launch, we discovered and addressed several technical issues. Some of which have been with the game for a long time.

One goal with yesterday’s launch was to have the Kuiper Gate go live and monitor the results over the first night and the weekend.

As a result, we’ve identified a few issues that, while obvious in hindsight, were not fully apparent to us until the gate went live.

To resolve this, we are making several noticeable changes to the Kuiper Gate and related boxes before the end of today.

    What’s changing?

    • We’re reducing the amount of Extra Energy that’s dropping from the event boxes. We’ve identified a series of errors that are causing much more energy to drop than intended.
    • We’re also fixing an issue that was affecting the drop composition and percentages upon completion of the Kuiper Gate. We’ll continue to watch these results and make changes as needed.

The goal with both of these changes is to maintain the integrity of the game’s economy and balance.

We will continue to analyze the data and feedback that comes in over the weekend and coming weeks, and respond accordingly.

We absolutely want the Kuiper Gate to be rewarding and exciting, but as always, the long-term health of the game is our primary focus. We’ve made great progress this year, and we want to preserve this momentum.

I will follow up next week with an update on this topic as part of a new Producer’s Dialogue.

I apologize for any concerns or frustrations that have resulted from this.

    Thanks,

    RickDekard
