    Has anyone completed a Kuiper and not received a design or uridium?

    So far I've done 5 Kuiper (1 last month and then 4 today - they are much quicker to do than the previous version) and on every single one I have got the design or 200k U. bonus. Beginning to wonder if the chance on test2 has been set to 100% or something ... not that I would mind too much if that is the chance on all servers :p
     
  2. Okapi32 or you were just lucky. :) It seems that the chances are overall bigger than in other gates, but it could be just matter of test, just demo with bigger chances to entice players on Kuiper, when it will arrive on live servers. :p
     
  3. If this is the way this gate is going to be I will not do it when it comes out on the main servers as the last waves need to have a delay before they spawn another set of waves. These Npc's don't run to corners so you end up dealing with ALL Streuner Soldiers in 1 cluster that get tractor beamed to the Streuner Specialist so you get hit by these while trying to kill the target and then the others are on you just as it pops. And again the ROCKETS have a longer HIT range than your weapons so to hit them you are getting hit by ALL of them.

    UFE's will love this gate but it is a MAJOR lose for a NEWB ship or anyone that does not have Bubble Shield minimum from Bio.
     
  4. Almost all gates is a lose for NEWB ALPHA gate which is the easiest is still a challenge for the FE ship
     
  5. I actually did the ALPHA in a BigBoy ship the first time I did it without any problem. This was before the PET and extra drones, but I did have 8 Iris with enough LF-3 to fill the BB and 8 for the drones on both configs plus BO-2 for shield config on ship.

    To have 12 waves deploy in 3 minutes seems quite extensive especially when they all swarm together and hit you more than you hit them. But I guess if I tried it in my MAIN ship I might be able to stick with it long enough to do some good, but then I do have 35 Pilot Points in use and have some LF-4's available on that account. Plus the addition of the PET and Apis drone. But requiring 1250 spins to build with the aspect of getting 40 NPC's hitting me before I can hit them, I probably will not even attempt to build it.

    So in other words (or what i understood), if you have all designs, you are guaranteed to get 200k uridium (theres nothing said that player have a chance to get nothing).

    Is this a little bit over powered? Hmm...

  7. i found it rather refreshing love the new gate and the alion that shoot the heat seeking rockets and the turrerts are boss think u need put more in as i fount it easy to doexcept the last wave that was stresfall lol but all in all ferry good gate carnt wait to see it ingamefoir good
     
  8. I did the test server #2. Me ship wasn't properly equipped. Un-FE Vengi. Did the Kuiper GG up to the wave where the NPCs were shooting Kami rockets at ME :eek: Spent most of my time trying to build up the ship aka noob/rookie, but alas not ;) Had to GO and I check'd out my stats and I got nothing (0) for trying to poof these kami rockets :eek: I should get at least 1 rank point as a reward otherwise, I'll just stand and get hit :mad::p Save me some seprom. Anything in the GG should give a reward of some sort not (0) (1) (0). Nice bricklayer background BTW.

    Would be nice to have a pop-up that lets players know the test server is open rather than hidden or guess work. Most don't go to forums or the like.

    Hmm maybe, the way I understood it was the chance of the uridium is equal to the chance of a design, but you will only get the uridium if you have all the designs, so that's why I was a bit surprised that I was getting uridium every single time. I was thinking the chance of the design is like 50% then a chance of nothing for 50% - but you are right it doesn't actually mention anything about getting nothing.

    Fingers crossed it is always uridium ^^ would be such a huge change to the games economy and would eliminate the worries of players not being able to do solo cubes if server were merged.

  10. You could always just check the server list and see if the TEST server is listed or not. As the numbers allowed on the server are limited they are not going to make a "pop up" to get the server overloaded. There were way more people on this server than I have seen on USA West server for a long time, so obviously there were enough that knew it was open.

    I got to wave 17 or so.
    1. The background looked cool, but with graphics on Good, it didn't move around very much and I didn't get a sense of movement like with other areas in DO. If a cargo box went off screen, it was difficult to find my way back to it. I couldn't get a feeling of perspective b/c the background wasn't moving opposite to my ship.

    2. I like the rocketeer ship and the idea of fighting a long distance attacker. That makes both choosing who to kill first, and flying, more important to the fight but the ship was too weak. All I had to do was fly straight at it, let it's first rocket hit me and kill the ship with a few shots. Maybe if it ran from me when I got closer and was stronger, could take some hits, etc...

    3. I like the healers, but the first group seemed weak and didn't heal much.

    4. The soldiers were tough, had a lot of hp in the beginning and their rockets have good range. That made things difficult, interesting and different than other gates.

    Definitely a gate for stronger ships.

  14. If this gate will always bring around 215.000 Uri reward ( +Uri from aliens etc ) it's "awesome"...
    The "problem" is that alot people would say it's like free Uri, cause you just set up the gate and you make +Uri.
    My opinion is, that's a nice way to get an acc ufe, without using Venezuela or buying it, in a quick time.
    This would be amazing.

    Just my opinion and I'm a goood Customer.

  15. So you get 90,000 Uridium (125,000 cost of gate) if you build the gate with no discounts (but we all know the WALLETS are getting at least 30% discount Premium 5% and Rebate Advantage 25%) or 127,500 with normal discounts and even more with GG % day.

    Guess that proves what I said earlier, if the last waves do not allow a NEWB to handle them (12 waves deployed in 3 minutes), then this gate is designed to make a UFE (WALLET) an easy way to get what they want without having to spend any money on the game. Seems to be why they are no longer in the maps protecting the NEWBS, they do gates or HUNT newbs with their rewards from the gates.

    The game has been going down hill since the addition of the PIRATES and with the increase of Galaxy Gates is just taking players out of the game and putting them into private collection maps (they can build gates and play them until their friends join them to HUNT weaker Play for Free players who are just tired of being popped all the time).

    I keep hoping to see a change that helps the NEWB but then we are not spending the money of the WALLET's because we can not BUY our UFE status and since we can not BUY the LF-4's we do not play as much as we would if the maps were protected the way they used to be (portal huggers preventing invasion of maps by enemies, oh forgot cloak and Jump Chip into the map now group up attack cloak and search for other NEWBS trying to get stronger) and would be defenders are in their PRIVATE battle with NPC's they have no problem killing.

    Wonder what happens when all the NEWBS have quit the game and DO has to rely on the UFE killing UFE as they are the only ones left playing, OH I FORGOT, the UFE's are being closed down as they have been found to be using CHEATS/GLITCHES/BOTS to help get them to UFE status, or gotten bored with the defenseless killing they are doing and gone to other games that create more enjoyment than they get here.

    Funny we used to have STRONG PLAYERS that the mention of their name made you run to a portal as you knew you needed 8v1 to kill them now you have clans that are being called out as these are attacking the weak on a 3v1 when a 1v2 would still get them the kills just would take a little more time. The only names being singled out are those being accused of cheating or have MULTIPLE accounts in different companies and PUSHING by grouping with weak players then jumping into another ship killing them as enemies, but then this is LEGAL as changing one character of a name or adding another PERIOD will allow you to create another account with the same name.

    Well with the TEST SERVER being up again I tried to finish the gate, funny I had to wait for wave 40, 41, and 42 to register there were no items left to be destroyed. I had left off at wave 43 (Streuner Emporer) and before I knew it I had wave 50 dispatched. I was able to kill 3 Streuner Soldiers and 1 Streuner Rocketeer in the 9 minutes it took to have all of these on me. I found I would get a Soldier almost dead and the Streuner Specialist would repair its health and I would have to run as the swarm had me almost dead. As these are hitting me even when I am not hitting them it seems FUTILE to attempt to do this gate unless you are a UFE player and have super strength or have auto lock ability and can drag the Soldier away from the Specialist so it dies before it gets in the tractor beam.

    I like the Seeker Rocket no longer follows you till you stop and explodes, it now explodes when it runs a certain length of time. Don't see any damage from them but it is annoying having them chasing you and shaking the screen when they do explode.

    Seems like (did not actually see it but got the lightning bolt disruptor hit) one of the waves dropped a Streuner Turret and the Emporer ran to be protected by it and as I got hit with the disruptor beam lost control of movement to avoid the swarm and died my last life.

    Unless a change is made in this map (Map 5 Final Map) and wave cycle follows as in maps 1 thru 4 where 3 to 4 waves spawn and when these are destroyed another batch spawn this is a gate a NEWB (FE without BIO for FATS and BUBBLE SHIELD) is advised to stay away from completely as you do not have enough protection to deal with the swarm that wants to attack you. As I knew the problem I had even gone in with a bunch of x-4 ammo and that is what allowed me to destroy the few items I did destroy.

  16. all this worrie about UFEs spamming the gate what about the ammo you spend in there im sure the ammo to kill 52 waves is alot and giving that the FAQ rewards don't have ammo listed yeah it can be spammed but the ammo cost/time if useing X1 is going to be too much to effectively spam the gate

    how would fats help that bio just pvp right ?

  18. You are right but the BIO needed to get to the FATS does help HP and SHIELDS along with some damage to NPC's so the benefit, even though not DIRECT is still better than a NEWB without this BIO.

    This is not the place to post this issue. But might be a server problem.

    I was on the last waves when this last Test finished and so couldnt comment in feedback...

    I haven't read any of the above comments but here is my take on the gate...

    I thought it was nice to have a moderate challenge that will not be easy until your ship is bigger and that also offers a good reward..
    On the test-server my ship is not mega but it might be called middle powered (non prem etc)... on my main ship/server it will be considerably easier but still nice to have a change

    I will be interested to do the whole gate 'in one go' as I have yet to finish it for one reason or another.. the back-page not corresponding to my position in the gate will help :) and I think there may have been several material changes since the first test that I saw...

    would have been nice to have a little longer remembering that we play on a world-clock (we are a truly Global game)...

    altogether I am happy

    Hades~Pôšëîdõn‡Tríp I dont think that the fact that a noob cant do this gate is a big deal as they have yet to master the a,b and y gates let alone the others... as for rewards to the UFEs (WALLETs as you put it) well they will want them cos as someone pointed out there is also a cost in ammo to this gate...

    as for help to noobs (not to get popped incessantly and building enough that they dont bore and leave) I couldnt agree more but that would not be in a gate like this... that should be in the open maps and encouraged among the UFEs maybe to sponsor a few noobs as a lvl20+ quest/s (there are threads about that)

    Yes the gate is not easy at FE-only but if you dont want a challenge then dont do it...

    I am not singling you out Hades~Pôšëîdõn‡Tríp just that I think you have made certain points that can be seen from other points of view
