  1. Hello forum readers i have used MAC computers for several years now and recently bought a new iMac. Its the top model you can buy and i am experiencing insane amounts of lag? Like 20 fps?

Ive tried multiple browsers and i believe Chrome is the worst, Opera is ok but blurs the whole game and Safari performs the best but not great.

Any reason why? My old iMac runs DarkOrbit better which makes no sense.

    Please help.

  2. I am not sure, I am running Windows 7 on my PC. I can't imagine playing DO on Google Chrome for example, lags are insane. But Firefox and Opera are preety good. I am playing only from Firefox, as I have the best performances.

I don't know what may be the case at you. Try to check if there are some background processes taking too much memory maybe. Also, you haven't mentioned Firefox in your post. Give it a try if you haven't.

PS. In case you have some processes or apps that take too much memory, you may want to search for Razer Cortex application. That is a preety good application boosting your PC performance while gaming.

  3. Thank you for your response. Unfortunately after testing Firefox its the weakest of all the browsers, it blurs my game out more than Opera and has weird bugs with the minimap flashing?

I have tested many scenarios with even only 1 programme running (the browser) and still no improvement.

  4. That's strange than. As I have wrote in previous post, Firefox does the best performance on my PC, but every PC is different thing. I don't know what can be the case to cause this, really :(

Did you try with the Razer Cortex application? Beside this, even though you have one application running, I don't know what can be the cause.

I will suggest you to go straight to support, and check with them what can be the cause of this. If I get anything else in mind that may cause poor performance, I will let you know.

  5. Well Razer Cortex is only available for Windows. However that is not the point i have an iMac with the top configurations and it handles other games with ease.

    Here are my specs.

CPU - 4 GHz Intel Core i7 (Turbo boost 4.4ghz)
    RAM - 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    GPU -AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB
    Display -27-inch (5120 x 2880)

Here is a video testing multiple games at high resolution.

    REMOVED

Now the FPS isn't amazing on these games but he is just testing the capability at this insane resolution, when he drops it down it perfroms a lot better.

DarkOrbit should be a breeze for this computer, its so strange something is definitely wrong.

I also forgot to note that my connection should not be the problem either as i have 75mbps download.
