LAG!!!

Ok.
I've been a playing for five years now on the US East server and experienced lag before - but not like this. It's the same story: my lag started when the new contact list was created. I have trouble locking, switching configs, and most importantly a solid 5 SECOND OR MORE lag using emp's. I have been popped and when the kill screen comes on, THEN my emp goes off. Very frustrating. It's not just the standard emp either, the functions on my spearhead just flat out don't work until it's too late. It's getting old....

I have ALWAYS had FP and Java up to date, cleared cache and history, and had my computer settings right to the best of my knowledge. Now I use CCleaner because everything else i tried did not help. I never had any problems until recently. Is there something else I should do? Or should I abandon the game like so many others have? I'm tired of kicking a dead horse... and spending my money.

well it might be ur computer also . depends on ur graphic card and processor . what r ur computer specs . also .if u play using torch or chrome type in chrome://flags or torch"//flags and then enable GPU compositing on all pages .this will help .since now it will use ur gpu also (Uses GPU accelerated compositing on all pages, not just those that include GPU-accelerated layers)

 

he never said that . he said he was using emp .and that also his spearhead abilities didn't work or had a delay

 

Thanks for the reply Omega. I am using Firefox Nightly on Astrea's recommendation. I started using that when I first read about problems with lag associated with the contact list. I have talked to several people in my server and they are having the same problem also....

It seems to have skipped some players. Some have it and some don't. Has the US East server changed locations and I'm further away?

 

idk if it switched locations or not .but from what I know some servers are hosted in germany some in us . los angeles if I remember correctly . still what r ur computer specs ? u need at lest 4 ro 8 gb or ram .at least an i3 .

 

LOL I have no idea what my specs are bro. I am not a computer person, only a casual player that has put a lot of time, effort and $ into this game only to have it crap out.

 

The abilities in ships are bugged right now. All players are experiencing the delay in them.

 

And there have always been servers in Germany.... Hamburg if I remember correctly

And by abilities do you mean EMP's also? That doesn't really qualify

 

There is a bug in EMPS, there's a whole delay in DO, just shows how bad the game has gotten. You could EMP, and 5 seconds later it shows it go off, but it already went off.

 

Alrighty then. It's been a week and no response from anyone from admin. What's up with that?

I have to admit my problems have gotten better since I posted this. That being said, I'm a little off put by no official response from you Admin types. Not real sure how to interpret the non-action on BP's part....
