Lightening Vengie

  1. Ok after a review i notice that the After Burn function for the lightening design is like somewhere close to 8 minutes and i was wondering why 8 minutes for just speed ??? don`t get me wrong i understand a vengie with that ability is hard to kill but Citadel Speed ability recharge every 30 sec i guess and Come on look at the Aegis abilities recharge time compare to the Lightening design time bottom line is 8 minutes is too much for just 5 to 6 seconds of speed to think of it..... it really bad compare too Aegis and also it just speed no extra damage or nothing
     
  2. I see your point, however, a citadel has less slots for speed than a vengie does. The vengi was designed under the same cool down ideas for the venom, sentinel, solace, diminisher etc. It gains a higher escape rate than a citadel does
     
  3. then look at the Aegis ability cool down times they can help other ships as well as them selves alive during the coarse of a battle and none of his ability exceed 2 mins of cool down and beside so what if Lightening escape alot no matter it is using it ability in term of fleeing compare to Aegis using his ability to prolong battle making them hard and longer for players so again i hope you see my point

    The lightning shouldn't have a get out of "jail free card" at every opportunity. A vengeance is not meant to be on par with Aegis or citadel etc, those ships were built to be tanks and medics, in order to meet that role they need short cooldowns.

    Not much of a fan of the idea myself, however if you want a semi-reliable escape method for fights, a slow down mine will be your best friend. If you are not short on uri, EMP, cloak and slow-down mine will see you out of almost every fight safely
     
  5. No lightning vengi already annoying enough as it is with its speed boost citadels speed boost recharges that fast cuase its already so desperately slow, and aegis has short cool downs to meet its role as a medic ship. with those abilities they are weak.
     
  6. The new ships have an actual role to play.

    The Aegis as a medic
    The Citadel as a Tank
    The Spearhead as recon

    Their abilities have to have a short cooldown to play those roles.
    Aegis needs short cooldowns to repair themselves and other ships to meet its role.

    The Citadel is a Tank, and it is quite slow, even with 20 7900s on it. The after burn function lasts the same as a Lightning, but even a full speed Vengeance can catch up to a speeding Citadel.

    And Spearhead (even though not mentioned in the post) is a recon ship, it is super weak (unless you're UFE, you can handle it ;) and it has those short cooldowns for it's own survival and to assist others.

    The Vengeance and Goliaths were never meant to have abilities, but DO added them, and keep them balanced with a cooldown.

    When the designs came out, it was 2 hours, so be glad that they reduced it so much.

  8. Yup, and it still is quite a fantastic ship, it's the first I got from a booty box and I LOVE IT. Super useful when you go suicide xD

    I use it too! Better then aegis when your friend is in a gate (not hades), and he/she is about to die!
