I don't even know what it was, a music video, an ad for some model, or what. I am an adult so the language and suggestive images did not bother me. But...

The Volume on my computer went to MAXIMUM and the next thing I hear is [removed].

Fortunately I had my headphones on so the Mrs. and her mother, in the next room, didn't hear it.

Unfortunately I had my headphones on so my ears nearly ruptured when the sound maxed out.

Imagine what happens when a younger player logs in and the F word starts coming out of the speakers at full volume, OMG! I bet their parents will be so thrilled to have little Tommy playing DarkOrbit. NOT!

Suggestion: Pull that video immediately and Pay attention to what sponsors are doing, SCREWING WITH SOMEONE'S SETTINGS IS NOT COOL, SHOWING CONTENT THAT IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES IS JUST IRRESPONSIBLE.

still not that big of a deal .it says you have to be over 13 to play this game .either way ,if they are at a lower age ,they are going to be exposed to this either by accident or intentionally . either way . most people curse ,even if you think kids don't , they do . just part of life .not that big of a deal

I encourage Ad block, however, when I wanted to speed up my skylab transfer I did come across an advertisement promoting an alcoholic beverage. I do have to say, that is low BP, very low, we can't say anything over PG-13 in chat, but you can promote advertisements of alcohol.

    Hello,

    Thank you for reporting this.

I know some ads can be a reflection of web history, but I am going to pass this thread on higher up to see if this can be looked into so this might not happen again in the future.

Does the OP have anything else at this time?

    Regards,

  6. Some of the ads are funny and/or interesting. I agree that they should be reviewed before putting them on here. Cursing and alcohol need not be on here in the form of an ad, so as not to promote that type of behavior from out children. It may curb the use in adults as well which suits me just fine. The wild thing I have seen is the variety of length, ranging from 15 seconds to 45 minutes. With 6 servers, I am glad I have a video clearing time. You may want to log in with the headphones off your head when you first log in for the day. Save the headache and allow time to get a snack and bathroom break in while waiting for the ad to clear. As for the content, it may be difficult to get a change as this is a German company, and ideas about basic life is different over there. I have been there, nice country and nice people but the way of life is set and accepted as the norm. Cursing in music is a common place in a lot, not all mind you, of music in that country, and alcohol is the way of life. Maybe the ads could be country based for each server. When I log onto the Germany server I get the 45 minute ad that is in English. During that time I go take a shower, get dressed, get my son ready for the day, just so much I have found I have time for.

But in the end the OP has a point. I am always correcting what my 5 year old says as is. If he dropped the F bomb just because it was something he heard blaring out of my tablet, I would probably want to reach through the internet and strangle the DO marketing administrator.

    Hello,

I would like to point out that videos are provided by third parties therefore DarkOrbit cannot always be held to blame. As Solid Eye pointed out she will pass this thread higher up for this issue to be looked at.

    Does the
    original poster have anything further?

Most people curse. How about those who don't?

to OP: you can have Ad-blocker running and get no video.

But I think this also eliminates the 100 uri you will get from waching it.

The ad in question was displayed AT LOG IN. On server East 2 USA when first connecting, get 100u. for watching... It was not a Skylab time saver. I am more upset about my settings changing to ear splitting levels without warning than the content. See for yourself what I am talking about, below is a link to the same video.

Set your volume to the maximum setting then watch this video [removed video]

I think you need to read up on the law regarding content liability, third party or not, it is on DarkOrbit

Thank you for looking into this matter or at least passing it on to those who can.
