    Both tints of purple would be hard to see for me since I don't have map backgrounds on, I'm sure others would have the same problem, gray or orange or pink seem like the best colors for the job.

    This one is so that outfit members turn a different color on the mini map. The other one is so that you can see where they are on the mini map at all times. Similar, but different.
