Multi-Company Clans - What to do?

  2. I agree with you on that one..However Seems that these Simpleminded Bullies have been on a Selfish Streak for so long.. They have Bullied and Badgered so many off the Game.. and Where has BigPoint bean ?? Cant even Blame " Away Eating Burritos" on this lack of Supervision.

  3. that's not really a true statment cause in my mcc we hav people who are captain and majors in the clan they dont just go for top users lol
     
  4. Hello, there might be another idea, however this idea might take some developing work as it will require adding a new "Company" to the game.
    However the MCC were created and however the MCC rapidly took control over the galaxies surrounding the DarkOrbit, it has one common thing with all the rest of the Companies. Basically I see MCC as the 4th Company of the game.

    My idea is implementing the 4th Company of the game called MCC (or however you want to name it) bearing as a logo the all 3 Company logos [​IMG] . In this company could go the members of all MCC clans and form a new company.
    Like I said this will require a lot of work as new maps would need to be implemented. However would be better than disbanding all MCC clans as there will be a lot of rage from players. Forcing all MCC members to choose a Company will really throw off balance the company rankings as 1 company will suddenly have a lot more population than all of the other 2.
    Again this is just an idea and I have no idea if anybody already proposed it, and I am aware of the difficulty of this idea. Feel free to comment on it. You can also post any Pro’s and Con’s this might cause.

    Based on what? There's no way to predict how a MCC clan member would react if they were forced to "participate" in the company they selected when they created their ship. They might choose to move to a higher population company for the companionship, or a lower population company for the "bigger target pool" or they might choose to switch to whatever company their friends chose ... and there's no way to predict what the outcome of that would be.
    COULD it cause a "company population imbalance"? Sure.
    WILL it? Who knows? There is no way to predict the outcome.
    Company change has been possible all along. The ability to change company is not something "new" - it is a preexisting capability. I've watched ships change companies MANY times over the years.

    And from what I can tell - the whole point of the discussion is to get ideas about what do to with MCC's... because the MCC's are operating without regard to ANY "company." They ignore company affiliation completely and still get all the benefits available to single-company clans.

    When a brand new pilot starts - they are asked to choose a company first.
    Before ANY other selections.
    If they change their mind, they can choose something else later.

    And just to repeat it: The "three faction model" has been successful for as long as there have been MMO games. "Sticking" to the model is not a high-risk choice.

    We have talked about this over and over again. We are up to 15 pages of comments. There have been a lot of good ideas here, but DO isn't going to change. I feel that they really don't care. I think this is one of the longest post I know about and being a part of. A lot of players had made their statement, and DO had a deaf ear. It is all about the money to them, and they are greedy. Anything can happen here and they are alright with it as long as you give them money. Look at the bonus calendar they give you. If you are not a premium you don't get the 25th day bonus. That is money for them. You do get a few nice things, but most of it is trinkets.

    I play and MCC hunts me/us. I have been killed more time than I can count. I try to fight off the attacker, but my skills and equipment aren't equal to theirs. I like this game but it cost to much in trying to keep up. I don't have the dollars to spend here. I do spend some which isn't much. I'm trying to gain rank, but it is very slow for me because I only play for a couple of hours at most.

    New players come, and they go more than they stay. I don't see newbies out there very often. If I do there are not there long. I am on line here everyday early morning hours. I help when I can even other companies too. If I fight, it is because I was attacked first. Just the other day another company man attacked me. I was sitting there just watching as he flew around me. I was changing configuration 2 to be ready. So I was ready when the person attacked. I beat the person and won. My first in a long time because I was ready.

    So Be Ready. I Try.

It is not that D O has a deaf ear, they said they wanted input so they could decide what to do about them and make changes during the server merges as to where these players might get placed, if they were placed at all, or what was going to be done about the turmoil they have created in the maps. I feel the only thing to do is to place the Same Company Killing MCC's in a Separate Server so they can all be Clan versus Clan and that Server will not have the 3 company model as the other Servers do, but instead the rewards would be Clan Based. This is because I do recognize that not all MCC's are there to DOMINATE the server, some are actually Friends that like to fly together and respect the Company lines by not attacking their same company players and often only PvE together.

    The 25th day bonus IS GIVEN to everyone the extra BONUS (this month is oil) is only given to the Premium Player. The cost of Premium is not much to pay, except when we can not get into the game, the added benefits of it in the game are well worth the money. Things like automatic refining of the cargo collected means less time sitting in the map like a duck, 5 second logout means a quicker departure from the game if being traced, faster rocket loading means more damage, doubled ore transfer means you can get more Seprom quicker (I get 12000 units in 24 hours or 12 with Premium granted some of this is Promerium for credits), and don't forget the Free Ship/Drone/PET Repairs so you can use the Kami without spending your hard earned Uridium every time you make him pop to save ammo.

    YES it is about being prepared when you are being attacked as to whether you will survive an attack or not, which is again covered with being a Premium player as you now have 3 quick action slots so you can make the changes with the keyboard while the mouse is busy getting you out of range so you can return ready for the battle. I do not PvP as I am unable to get the lock on moving targets, I have tried the LEADING LOCK, locking on the top of the target, even waited for the target to stop moving and still have difficulty getting the lock and it is not ME but the Server I am playing on as I did the Zeta gate with both of my accounts (US2 and US3) and when killing the minions of the Devourer I locked them fine on US2 but on US3 it was very difficult to get them as they keep moving all of the time, or trying to kill the icys in the Cold Wave Gate (without Kami) I took a lot of damage trying to lock them even when they were a small cluster with 20 available to lock.

    This thread is full of good ideas and has accomplished some great feed-backs on this topic ... My major concern is that there was the absence/lack of the true communications of the Creators/Founders/Players and their position on their position that are the members of MCC clans in this thread . Granted I have seen and do recognize some posters in this thread there is the absence of in my opinion some 500 users - 150 of them that are Full fledged MCC members in the top 3 clans on the US East 1 server alone and I play multiple servers but the MCC membership could care less except for changing their user account affiliation for another clan with in their own company structure . Within the past 48 hrs alone I have seen and recorded the switching of users from 1 clan to another and re-positioned themselves before the server merges . So in my opinion the solution is in play before the server mergers concerning MCC clans
     
  11. As I have tried to point out it is not necessarily the MCC as it is the mentality that some have. A BULLY is still a BULLY no matter what gang they affiliate themselves with. All you are seeing is the threats being carried out of what these BULLIES would do if D O decided to take any action against them, they are splitting into the 3 faction model and will continue to play the game the same way they have since the loss of populations that kept them in control previously, just now you will see 3 clans flying together but the NAMES will still be the same just different TAGS in front of them. I believe if they are left in the game they are just going to wait for the server merges to happen then reunite the clans that they used to have and continue to raise heck in the maps just like they are now.

    Nobody expects the mentality to change. Doesn't matter what label you put on it. DO can't change the behavior - but they *can* change the game mechanics.

    The current game implementation gives perks to people who choose an MCC. ('Stealth' minimap coloration, no penalty for shooting same-company ships unless you have the first lock (or is it the kill shot? whatever), shared CBS boosters, etc - they've been listed already)

    The servers are underpopulated - also already discussed. Is there a connection between the MCC and the low population? Obviously - but is it purely cause-and-effect? Or is it effect-and-cause? Or some mix of both? ...and the answer to that is not really relevant either. Again - all DO can do is change the game mechanics - they cannot change history.

    Attempting to "exile" the MCC ships to some separate server makes no sense. Historical attempts at using "exile" to resolve any behavior issue are plentiful, and consistently ineffective. In this environment, it would doom the ships to an ever decreasing population.

    DO couldn't impose that kind of slow death because somebody is using a valid, supported, legal in-game mechanism. Just because you or I might not like it - it *is* supported by the game. What DO *can* do is change the mechanism. And they don't even have to justify the change - they've been making changes based on game-balance since the beginning.

    Game mechanics can promote the three faction model, or they can impair it. I believe the current MCC implementation impairs it. Game mechanics cannot change mentality, history, or behaviors.

    At the end of the day - this has *always* been a combat game.
    Being 'ready' for combat should be automatic.

  13. Now the question is, what changes can be made to get rid of the current issue that we have? The overpowered ruling the events and the under powered leaving the game as they can no longer enjoy playing it.

    I know we might see some of the actual GAME issues corrected with the upcoming Mergers and MOVEMENT from FLASH PLAYER BROWSER GAME, but again without the numbers to create a balance between the weak and the strong the MCC's will continue to rule the game no matter what is done.

    i played this game from around the start and always VRU . my clan was once number 1 on server but ever one has quit playing or move to other clans . back in the day we would just go to war with any clan that was in VRU that was marked MMO or EIC intell they fixed it or disband , But as more player quit so do clan leaders and a lot of us don't want to change clans so it make it hard to do any diplo like war ally and naps , a lot of the old clans are dying because clan leader has quit or had his account band , the MCC can help other company's at anytime but i can't kill them at anytime my idea of fixing some of this game is allowing a few easy changes that wont be hard or make could help in fixing a lot of this .

    1. allow the old clans with active members in it replace there inactive clan leaders so we can start rebuilding the old clans that been around sent the begin and not have to just leave are clans to go clan-less or join other clans ,,,,,, most of the clans on my server is MCC so if i leave i will have to just start new clan , join a MCC or go clan-less .

    2. give all MCC outlaw so there is no protection to them , all CBS will shoot them in-less they own them , no lost honor for killing them or there CBS without having to be at war so even the clan-less can shoot them frist without a lost . ,,,, being able to kill them first will go a long ways

    3. clans can only build CBS in there own maps and group maps MCC can only build CBS's in 4-4 or 4-5 or give big debuff on them when they are not . ,,,,, help keep new player in X-3 , X-4 safe and keeps MCC from taking over the upper maps like X-6

    4. a clan can't have Nap or Ally out side of there company . ,,,, even if they make clans in all 3 company's they wont be safe on any CBS out side of there own company making it easier to deal with them and they will just a red dot on many map

    and it would be nice to bring some servers together , plus they are company trader so should not be able to do company missions or be rewarded by the company for any thing like killing NPC's , spaceball and etc.

    I just had a thought. In baseball New York Yankees has the most population to watch their games, and they make a ton of money and can buy the best players. I don't know when it happen, but it did. The baseball commission change the rules. The better team with the most money had to share the profit with team that didn't make what they did. It was design to level the playing field. Maybe we should do this to MCC. They seem to be the best and had bought themselves to have the top of the line equipment. Have them pay for newbies and weak players like in baseball. Most clan has a tax on it members, well have the government (OD) tax them or the clans. Then the tax can be passed on to the poor newbie who just getting started, or the weak levels to help them get better.

  16. Nice suggestion, problem that is what the Clans and TAX was originally for. The tax rate is controlled by the leader and dispersed as they see fit. AS some of the players/leaders got greedy D O came in and put a cap on how much can be paid to any player in a week (250 Mil). The issue is these clans are not accepting any weak members or if they do it is someones second account on the server.

    The real solution would be that a clan has to have 20% level 14 or lower in their clan or D O taxes the players in the clan 5% everyday the clan does not meet this requirement and those clans exceeding this requirement receive a percentage of these penalties according to the level of their activity and average player level. So a clan that has 20 members in it is required to have 4 level 14 or lower members (with some leeway as players do level up and server populations change) this clan is active on a daily basis (all members login and do the daily mission minimum or 56K EP on a weekly basis) so they do not get taxed or benefit from the D O collected taxes, however, there is a clan that is 100% level 14 or lower they have 30 members that are very active but they are seen as being killed so often the players are getting disgruntled with the game the members of this clan get a message from D O that if they stick with it they will receive a "Special Reward" BUT they have to remain active in the Game and accepting new players when they apply, this clan would receive 100% share of the "Taxes" and so on with all of the clans of the Company and players of the server. I know these numbers are going to have to flex as players grow and populations do not grow and D O continues its downward spiral BUT if we get a reprieve from all of the bugs/glitches that have infested the game, the imbalance of BULLIES to players is dealt with, and NEW players get some type of LOWER MAP PROTECTION to keep them interested. Eligible clans will have ZERO Friendly kills (not saying they did not defend themselves from these killers just they did not fire the first shot), constantly assisting in growing their clan and the game, teaching new people how the game is played and how to use the forums and SkyLab, basically everything possible to make the player knowledgeable enough to live thru the turmoil caused by the BULLIES (I will not even call them MCC anymore).

    But as long as a clan can be made up of 50 level 20 or higher members there is only one reason for this and that is company/server domination, YES I know the argument "we have a training clan that we level up and recruit from" but even these clans make exceptions and have lower level members in it because these players have shown a knack for the game.

    Whatever is done it needs to happen soon and be drastic or the game will really suffer with the merges coming next month.

    HelpMeHelpYou First off Merry Christmas .... making note* [ to all :) ] .... You and I have been doing this a long time [jefe'] / Boss ... As you and I and others have pointed out . In my last post from there I pointed out that clan members of MCC/WALLET WARRIORS have returned to their respective companies prior to the merge {I wonder why} . They themselves are uncertain if there will be a 50% honor loss ... You and I have both built clans in good faith as to the 3 company rule. In that creating of a new clan this has to be removed

    Us credit clans can and do produce Wallet Warriors when DO added the word [ALL] into the Clan Description /Company Affiliation is a total screw-up and besides that the FAQ is so outdated it's not funny ... I spent 400,000,000 million creds today alone helping out Noob players in their ship and lab building from the clans bank just to keep their interests in this game. Just to make myself clear I do not have a problem of tossing any of my Sr Admins for not assisting this clans new members . I could care less where I rank as a clan . It's my goal to turn these credit players into Wallets with Values and Loyalty . Since all the discord and lack of interest as well as the bull of the server mergers DO has stuck a gun to their own head and is going to pull the trigger . Just my opinion

  18. I feel they have been making their coffin one update at a time, since they forced the Hangar Update on us. The time it took to correct the PvP issue (if it is fixed?) of not being able to find BASIC Ships in the maps because these were all that counted to the quests. The allowance of actual Bullying via multiple kills from the same clan in the same day, including your own company with no recourse or assistance. They have allowed too many potential wallets leave the game because they chose to continue adding NEW stuff instead of fixing the issues they created, it is nice they added the Cargo Drops with the A.S. Ores from NPC's. But they still do not explain items well when they are added as seen with the QZ as it is confusing and not well defined when you want to enter into the map what is needed or how to select the people you want in there with you as shown in >this thread<. But this is normal, the player is required to figure it out on their own, or from other players (if you can trust them).
