Multi-Company Clans - What to do?

    If they remove mcc, its only normal that they let the players a free switch for them to be together.

    1) The point of MCC and alliances is the same as having player from different companies in group. To kill anybody, regardless of company without impunity. The cure is got penalty for killing member of the same company even if you did not fire the first shot. If player participate in killing member of its own company, he should get the penalty.
    2) Multi Company Clans, or clans with alliances from different company should not be able to make Battle Station. They are used as trap.
    3) If you ban MCC, alliances with clans from other company should be ban as well.
    4) I don't think all strong players will get in one company. There is not only one clan, where all strong players are, so why they all should go to one company? Even that should be better. They will not be able to kill week players from their own company.
    5) I will give them few weeks to switch. No need to rush things.

    The Spaceball example is proof DO have no idea what's going on. DO is run by MCC, alliances and multicompany groups. This way they can kill anybody who want to join in and isn't par of alliance and get the rich rewards for them selves. Plus excellent way to do the PvP missions. The same with Demaner, Hitac and others.

    The survey I open concerns the problem of the so-called multi-company clan and a possible solution to the problem. Now I write in my opinion the best way to solve the problem:

    1) Remove the multi-company clans, or make sure that a clan leader can not invite members of other companies;

    2) All those who are not part of the same firm of the clan leader immediately the system expels them from the clan;

    3) already exists the system of the change of firm and as everyone already knows, has a cost of 5000 uridium and halves the honor points, with the new update the honor points will not be halved and there will be no cost in uridium. In fact from the new update the change of firm will no longer be possible to any player, but it will be possible to implement it only in special cases as in many other games or to rebalance the companies or nations, and in the current specific case or with the removal of multi-company clans everyone will be able to change companies, so that players who are close friends with the players of another company can choose to spontaneously change their company and enter the clan in which they were part, but this time as members of the same company. Obviously when you give the possibility to change the company, each player can change within a maximum of one week, if the player were to exceed the duration of that week obviously it will no longer be possible to change the company. Also in that week the player can only make one change, after making his choice can no longer change, but will have to wait for the subsequent rebalancing of the firms, which will obviously be chosen from the upper floors, but periodically the upper floors choose to give the possibility only when a country or company is too strong compared to the other in this case when a company is stronger than the other two. This is because normally every company must have the same number of players who have more or less a similar level of equipment that allows them to compete and fight each other fairly well. So even during the events there will be greater balance;

    4) with the new update all those who are part of the same company will no longer have the opportunity to attack and consequently kill each other. In addition, the war between clans will be made possible only between clans of the same company since two clans that are not part of the same company are already at war with each other because they are the opposite company. Beware if two players belonging to the same company, but to two different clans, and these two clans are fighting each other, the players of the two clans can attack each other and kill each other without loss of honor. In addition, the war between clans of the same company will last for 15 days, not only, a clan can have a maximum of one war in progress, this means that if my clan already has a war in progress other clans of the same company can not declare war on my clan and not even on the clan with which I have the war in progress. Add in the case of special events such as the demaner, the spaceball and other events and even during the battle bases the ongoing wars between the clans are temporarily suspended to give the opportunity to the players of the same company to help each other to grab the resources during the event or be able to conquer a battle base or defend it. This does not mean that there will be no war during the event because among the various firms there will be a great hostility then a more heated fight. The thing is different when the two clans are not of the same company in that case during the events the hostilities are not suspended but remain because the three companies are always and constantly fighting each other.

    5) The inclusion of the duel function, practically when a player wants to make a duel with another player of the same company here is useful this function of the duel, which gives the opportunity to two players of the same company also two different clans that do not they are fighting, of being able to make a duel. This feature only affects players from the same company because the system does not allow you to attack a member of the same company, while instead of players from different companies it is not necessary because the system allows you to attack.

    6) With the new update, a player can no longer invite a player belonging to another company in a group, the reason is simple in no existing game I've ever seen a similar thing, as happens here or the possibility of being able to group a player another company, the thing for me is not normal because there are hostilities between the two nations or three companies.

    7) Constant presence in the map by the moderators to control the chat and to ensure that the rules are respected. Not only during the events the clans of the opposite firm can not agree and therefore can not make decisions about who can participate or not to the event.

    With what I have shown in this survey you will not see the solitude situation in which u player eic is attacked by player eic, vru and mmo at the same time.We will give the importance of the team play between the players of the same company during the events to be able to grab the resources, more importance will be given to the groups with members of the same company both for expare and for large groups or maybe an invasion of enemy maps in groups. So guaranteed fun.

    Finally I would also consider the other proposal regarding boosters b01 that can make the situation more balanced in the map and also another proposal that concerns the seprom.

    I have removed the point regarding the private communication, in fact I agree with this point.

    the fact of the limitation that a clan can have only a guera in progress is essential that there is, because if there were not every clan would end up making war not only with the clan of the same company but also against those of the opposite firm, and then the situation would return many years ago when a clan waged war against all because he had the majority of strong players in his clan. The other clans of the same company can only declare war on that clan, but that clan can not accept because it still has a war going on. When that war is over he can accept only one of the declarations of war.     In this case I can tell you that in every company there must be equal number of players, who have about the same equipment, so when you do a balance of the server for the companies, the thing is communicated weeks before and you have the to choose, in which firm belong clearly discusses the thing in global chat, or on discord or on the forum, in such a way that the situation is balanced, and I remind you that this is also in the interest of the player not only of the BP company to have a more balanced situation, it ensures fun for each player.

    How about doing away with Clans altogether? The serve no GOOD purpose to the game. If you wish to fly together you have Group. This means nothing is automatic. Players would have to be active at that moment, sought out and invited, dropped at logout, no commo outside of group.

    Clans used to be a way to help newbies GROW to the point they still wanted to play.
    Oh wait, what's a newbie, scarce as "hen's teeth" or unicorns.............
    Get rid of MCC's (mostly corrupted companions"

  6. MCC I don't have issues with them. Just make some changes. Some of the players move to different company so they can kill the stronger more populated companies. If there were more safe zones for new people it may help the new people. Perhaps making it no able to kill any player 2 or 3 levels below you. You are level 21 you cannt shoot at any player that is level 18 or below. But, if being shot at first then you could shoot at them. I bet that would help. Thus the level 24 people can fight people that are equal to them in skills and equipment for a more fair fight. The biggest issue should be solved when more players are on the maps. More people on the maps less opportunity to have enemy on each maps or they will be destroyed quickly. They will go back to home maps instead.
    KEEP MCC let the server merge happen and see what happens to this issue. Sometimes just a wait and see can take care of this issue a lot of people are worried about.

    It would be even worse by removing the clans and leaving only the groups, because we get to a point where we would all be against everyone, and then there would be no more room for newcomers. We need to make sure that a clan can not have players of opposite firm, not only, we must balance the three companies in order to have about the same number of players, with about the same equipment, so that the fight between the three companies are more balanced, without fury against the weaker, as happens now.

    even with a greater number of aegis you would not be able to hold up because the damage is too high, besides you could escape once, but then the skills of the aegis go in cd, also against a tartarus would last two seconds.

    it's not about having safe areas to take refuge in, because those are there, the problem is if you reach them, because you find yourself under attack suddenly and if you have little shield and hp are easy to kill, then solve the questioen of the clan is essential also for the bases of battle, so you can conquer the bases of battle you have a further zone in which you together with the members of the clan you can stay, hours and hours there to expare, having the help of the base and the companions of your own clan, furthermore, if my proposal on the b01 boosters and on the seprom that I wrote in the "idea" section, we will have much higher hp and shield levels and not only the damages of the clearly higher lasers, so that we are in a group you can have the chance to fight enemies. Remember that this is a space shooter in which three companies are constantly fighting each other, so you can not put the limitation on the levels.

    This game is not about fair fight. The duel option was added late as afterthought. It's more about stomping ants and feel strong. Spend some money, get top gear, cloak and kill some newbie in Goli before he run to the port. For stronger ship wait when he is fighting with some strong NPC and just before he finish it kill them both to get also his reward. That's my experience from the game. That's how the developers want it. Just look at the missions. Around level 19 or 20, they asked us to pop hundreds of ships. For example "They're In the Walls". It was 500 Goli and 500 Vengance. Originally before the developers change designs to ships, players have discretion to pop newbie in Goli, or the general in Surgeon. After designs change to ships, the only option became to shoot strait Goliath and Vengance ships. After complains developers took whole year and added to strait Goliath also Enforcer, Exalted and the rare Ignite. Similar for Vengance. Of course, no player who's doing this mission fly these ships. The change was made last year.

    After ALL the Evidence has bean Taken into Consideration.. What has occurred over the past 6 years.. It is Very Clear .. BigPoint is NOT Interested in a Long Term Profit..
    If they Did..
    " Why Cause a 90% Loss of your Customers ??"

    All FAULT.. is on the Head of BigPoint.. Yes they are Still making money.. but they have Caused the Destruction of the Only Game I like to Play.. I have Purchased at least 4 Computers just to keep up..
    MultiCompany Clans continue to Bully.. I log on.. after being off game for 4 months.. and within 20 mins I Get a 100 day WAR..

    But.. I am just one person.. with a Clan that has no other Active members.. we've been on the West Coast Server since its beginning.. I cant shoot Red Ships because.. they have Members from My Company.. I'm alone in the Universe.. that's ok.. what to DO.. I HUNT Cloakers that Box in the BATTLE Maps 24/7.. How can they DO that??

    And Some Guys Talk about Balance?? Why Lets Talk SpaceBall.. West Coast MMO.. used to Own SpaceBall.. even Though We were the UnderDawg Company for the First what 8 years on the Server .. now with the Multi-Company Clans.. MMO don't even show up.. for Space Ball.. Why?? Because We have been Beatn up.. from WITHIN and From the Outside.

    DO you Think a Server Merge is goin to HELP.. HELL NO.. with the Influx of Personality Disorders.. Infecting the Players.. there will Be More Same Company WARs.. as the Strongest.. " Wallet" Warriors Beat down the Free Players.. smaller Clans.. Just to Be the Number One Clan in the Company..

    IF YOU COULD Smell what the Rocks are Cookin.. Sure Death of a PC Game..

    We will Continue to See Comments like
    " I'm gonna Kill you over n over until you leave the Game " or " Enjoy your Permanent WAR " " Make sure He doesn't leave Base " ..

    Talk about Ruining the FUN for some Long time Customers..

    I know You Still want me off the Game.. TINY.. lil boy... and It makes me Laugh so hard cause your being MAN-nip-You-Lated.

    I would vote for option 1..... Free company swap period followed up by removing MCC. With some additions.
    1. Can only move once for free in the swap period.
    2. Remove the ability to ally with clans of the other two companies
    3. Make a limit of exp/hon per company. (avg of active players exp/hon on server) Once limit is reached no one can enter that company. Until exp/hon drops in that company.
    4. Penalise players that help enemy players shoot members of their own company even if that player did not shoot first, also the penalty starts at 5 times higher than normal then doubles each time.

    That might sound harsh to some but MCCs are killing the game, these people in MCCs just want total control of the server, nothing more and also very little to do with "playing with friends". They have taken advantage of it and most are server bullies. This must stop!

    Other Ideas which I think will help with the game overall.

    1. War can only be activated between same company clans if the clan that receives the war, accepts the war.
    2. Increase, change rewards or have some other incentive for killing other company players.
    3. Increase the protection level to at least 15 in lower friendly maps.
    4. Introduce the yellow enemy warning bar in all lower friendly maps.

    Failing all that, I have two ideas

    1. Get rid of the 3 companies, and just have clans. :eek: (I know, right)
    2. If it is possible, return everyone to the company that they were in when they first registered. Also ban MCCs and cross company alliances.

    Right, you don't need to spend a sigle penny to play this game. You can play it as target for free. If you give up your life, drop from school or job and live in your ship, you may be able to play at decent level, but still limited. The advantage of premium, like faster repair are not possible get by any other way.

    Simple way to remove "multi-compagny" clan :

    - Removing the option for accept players in clan if their not of the compagny of the clan (exemple : X CLAN = MMO, VRU and EIC can't join the clan)

    - Removing the option to shoot player of same compagny if the player his not in clan when we are in war with it (impossible to shoot player of same compagny without clan war)

    Why this ? Becaue "multi-compagny" clan destroy the game for all, news players or old players, lot of people will said "But we don't see a lot of people on the map thats why we make multi-compagny clan" just wait, Bigpoint will make "server fusion" you will see a loooot of people on every map, now you don't need to destroy the game with this...

    I hope with this we will see the "comeback" of the "Old DarkOrbit" with more players on map and with "fair" players :) No possibilities to join a clan if you'r not in the same compagny of this clan.

    A compagny is important, if nobody play for "compagny" just remove all of them and make "free for all" and all players can shoot all players...

  14. Back in 2015 you had to select to be "ALL" Company Clan now it is allowed by D O to accept any Company without Changing the affiliation of the Clan. Hopefully you get to read this before it is deleted as D O hates to see the truth posted in the Forums, MY previous Post in this FEEDBACK thread was Deleted.

  15. I read it and tried to reply to it and when I posted I was sent to the main forum page instead so I quoted it just before deletion. You made some very valid points and D O should not have made the changes they did as now we have no idea what the Clan's true affiliation is.
     
  16. Well I have a good point about multi company clans and though i am in one here is the problem. Take the new Domination event We have a group of players that just takes the best players from all the clans and starts a new clan for this event so all the players leave their own clans just to join this 1 clan just for the Domination event So far here is how the company's are doing MMO 0 EIC 0 VRU 90. Haha great way to allow the players to come up with a way to beat DO at their own game. So basically the other 2 factions on the first day have already given up on the event and their just gonna give it to this clan. So might as well just give them all the rewards now and start a different event. Just the way these guys all play the game they were all botters and didn't get ban for it they all use the seprom bug cause they were all botting for months and somehow they never run out of seprom. The game is given to these players somehow maybe they are getting information from a moderator on how to cheat DO? It has to be something cause how do they know they can get away with all this stuff and not be punished if not being informed by someone in DO? Anyways this is the first time since 2012 that i say i am not taking part in this event don't care that their are personal rewards cause this clan has many players sitting on all the maps that you need for the missions and they are gonna kill everyone jumping to those maps. It's just my opinion that in an event like

    The problem (above) is because a clan can "declare" itself to be affiliated with a company, but the declaration doesn't matter. You can "declare" a VRU clan and have only EIC ships in it - the declaration is not enforced.

    Other than that, I think Domination would be a great idea - but the "enforcement" is only in the words, it is NOT built into the game system. So the above abuse happens anyway.

  18. We know from JP battle vanishing that its not a rumor. Why did JP Battle not come back if it was 'impossible to game the system'? I can say from experience with mods they have their groups and treat them to special help. I asked back in the old client to get a gate reset from a server reset. I was immediately told 'that never happens we cant do that' by Ms K. Im told at the same time by players in chat and TS that YES they can and they had done it plenty of times. A mod in the game actually helped me. Later they took this away from the mods. Same goes for other things. Too many special favors happen and regular folks get the bag of crud and are told 'enjoy'. I guess if DO paints a bag of crud different colors every month its supposed to make us happy?

    Now we have DO putting out domination KNOWING there is a MCC problem where they tear the event up. Well guess what happens in Domination when you have a clan with MMO, VRU and EIC? Yup they can activate and de-activate the points as needed to do their quests. Regular players following the game are again burned.

    Did no one at the company play test the event?

    Also it sucks that these clans can go for rewards, but then when u have clan thats set to 'all' you cant do clanpoints in this event at all = ineligible of rewards from start
     
  20. This would be my course of action:

    Step 1. Remove MCC completely, make this game faction based. This would bring back a sense of honor intertwined with the factions themselves. An clear incentives to help weaker players from your faction to propser and thrive, as well as an increased motivation for players from the same company to fight versus a common enemy, setting potential internal conflics aside.

    Negative consequences: Angry MCC players, who wants to play together. This needs to be adressesed. Check step 2.

    Step 2. One free company change for every player without any honor/xp loss. A time limit could be implemented to reduce future turbulence between faction strengh & power levels, say ~3-6 month to change before this option is removed?

    Negative consequences: Dominating factions wining everything without a challenge. Basically same story as with the MCC. This needs to be adressed aswell. Check step 3.

    Step 3. Balance the factions out. How?

    I would suggest that anytime a clear and problematic server imbalance occures and persists, there could be incentives added for players to switch faction to the weaker one(s). These could be in the form of extra rewards during events, Shield/HP/Damage buffs on the maps where and while events take place, and of course a "free swap" with no loss in honor/xp for players who chose to join the weakest faction(s), likewise a greater loss of xp/honor for players who chose to join the dominating faction(s).

    An incentive that would be even more effective though, would be to (as many players have mentioned alraedy) merge all leaderboards regardning rankpoints to one which wouldn't be related to companies. Then, to seal the deal - implement some really large bonuses in xp/honor rewards when killing players from the dominating faction, thus making it extremely benifital for players who wish to "climb the ladder" (improve their ranking) to NOT belong to the strongest faction. This wouldn't just cause players to swap to the weaker faction(s), more specifically it would cause the STRONGEST competitive players who care about their prestigious ranks (UFEs) to consider this swap. Again, a temporary free faction "swap" would have to be implemented for players chosing to join an underpeforming faciton(s).

    Idealy, this would rather quickly balance out the companies, and as this happens, these implemented features could be removed shorty after and you'd have 3 factions with similar strenght and power across all servers.


    Conclusion: I think the removal of MCC is fully feasible if done in the right manner. The key would in my opinion be to create some sort of natural occuring equilibrium, like a supply and demand curve if you will where the factions would balance themselves out, providing a long term solution for the equilibrium issues that could occure and/or worsen with the removal of MCC.
