  1. I understand that the chat may be getting out of hand and that dark orbit is trying to really enforce peoples behavior in chat. However with that said I feel that dark orbit also needs to make more of an effort to recognize that players are still getting away with cheating by using proxy servers and programs that are doing rsb to x-4 ammo swap for them also doing pld to dmg rocket swap for them and they are then posting videos on youtube showing them using these features as well as using auto lock and these players who are posting these videos on youtube with their names clearly visible are still playing. So the regulators of this game need to start doing checks on social media and start catching these players who are not playing the game correctly. This is the biggest reason players get upset in chat because they are being exploited by other players who are not playing fairly. It makes a player very upset and frustrated to do everything by the rules and then be taken advantage of by a player cheating and then dark orbit telling you they catch all the cheaters which is not the truth because these players are so arrogant that they post videos of themselves cheating on youtube with no fear of being caught. I know when dark orbit designers finally admitted that the botting was happening instead of ALWAYS giving the response to players that they have scripts that catch everyone (which all the players knew was not true) the players at least were given some confidence that dark orbit was on the side of the honest player and was trying to make sure cheating wasn't happening. They need to do this again, reassure the honest players by letting them know that your aware of the proxy server problem that your aware that programs are being used and that your working towards a solution, that in itself will quell chat problems. With your new chat policy it is like your telling us the cheating is happening but you better just shut your mouths about it or your going to lose your account. this is the feeling I'm sure a lot of us are getting.

I agree that DO needs to be more vocal about what they are doing to get rid of the cheaters in this game but the constant garbage about cheaters in chat is not good for the game.

If you were a new player and were watching chat and all you see is hacker this and autolocker that, you wouldn't continue to play the game. We need new players in the game and its hard enough to for them to progress without the constant accusations bringing them down.

Chat should be for fun banter and not anger because someone can't play the game legit. Hopefully DO bans some more people soon so it will stop.

This game should be fun if you run into someone you think is running extras, go to another map. Why fight them or say anything to them. They love the attention.

PS. Still running around with the sharpshooter title I got off you. lol

  3. I Too Agree with you Brother Grazner.. Cheating should be an Offense that Must Be Dealt with in the Most Sever method Possible and Banning for Speaking about a Reality and a Most Frustrating Frequent occurrence, Banning an Honest player is just Rude, making this Game FUN is really Difficult when even being Respectful can earn a Banning.. but Thanks to some Truly Wise SMODs and CA s I feel more can be Done.

If " Support " Will Actually Listen to US.. Watch these YouTubes and DO.. DUE Diligence.. We might Just Spend more money and Keep more New players..

Do what your Customers Request or NOT.. the Choice is yours BigPoint..

GI Joes Says " Now.. .. you Know and Knowing is Half the Battle.

" Cheech says " Get on IT. "

What Really needs to be Done, is for these CMz to Watch Chat for those that Bully players within the Same Company and Prevent it.. The CMz have the Ability to Check Backwards or Chat logs.. make a Determination of the Intent.. Remove this Offender..

Sir Grazner, I wish I had been On the Day This Happened to you.. It was a Sad Day you Left our Company.. over This kind of Player. and it continues.. sadly.

    Hello,

You appear to be talking about 2 separate issues.

The policy regarding not allowing accusations in chat is not new, it has been around for years and comes under flaming.

This is because some make accusations very easily, without any proof other than they were popped. Many could research, or ask on the Forums, about things they have experienced and don't understand - but some simply find it easier to accuse instead. And many are accused unfairly.

Ultimately mods do not get to judge whether one player is right and telling the 'truth' about another, mods can only judge whether the comment is within the chat rules.

Players need to understand and remember that moderators are nothing more than volunteers who agree to give up their free time to help in chat. They cannot check accounts. And it would not be appropriate for them to do so.

Now expressing your thoughts that you hope DO will continue to strive towards making the game fair for all is fine, and which if you watch the Podcasts you will see they are always working to achieve that; but mods can do nothing more than try to ensure chat stays within the chat rules.

If you feel comments are being missed by the mods, which can happen as they are watching a lot of rooms; please take a screen shot along with a copy of the players name as it appears in the chat, and post on the chat board, or send to Support.

And If any of you would like to give up your free time to assist with moderating the chats, here is a link on how to.

I am now closing this thread as there is no 'new chat banning policy'.
