new cheat in play

So my fellow darkorbit community, i've seen a new cheat being used the past few days that may become a big problem. It would seem as though some players have discovered a way to cause you're own outfit members, to be able to shoot you down while in battle!! looks as though when an outfit member of yours or you shoots at the enemy there fire is redirected towards you or another outfit member instead of the enemy that they or you are firing on! scary stuff from the looks of it because hey youre not suppose to be able to shoot youre own outfit members right? . So if anyone has any input into this feel free to add or tell me im wrong lol as im sure someone will but there is video proof to back it up. only in darkorbit man always something new to look forward to.

 

Let me try and understand...You are saying that the red lock is active on an enemy, and you are shooting the enemy....but the damage is going to an outfit member ?

OR...

You lock an enemy, and are shooting them, then lose lock somehow and your lock is insta-switched onto an outfit member, and you are now actively shooting your member?

 

Post it then?
99% of the time a video can help explain it and make it clearer what is happened. I've never heard of this before and it doesn't sound like something that could be programmed up - sounds more like a glitch than anything, intentional or not.

It be your own outfit that is bugged and not the enemies using something.

 

That is very very very old bug

Active lock jumps from your target to nearest ship ,caused lots of wars on my server ..works both on aliens and players

It is nearly mythical bug just like one " special ship " bug

 

yes pie the second scenario that you said would be the one.

 

Oh and pie by the way stop playing around in eic and come on back to mmo time is a wasting man

 

well i know how to attack players in my own outfit lol, we both jump port and for about 3 seconds theres no outfit and if your in a nme map, attack them before you get back into outfit and then by the time it gets back your shooting them but they cant shoot you unless they leave

For more than a week now I have been experiencing that old bug where my target auto-jumps to someone unintended. I haven't seen this one happening for some years until now.
