  1. HI, I have an Idea on a new type of event for DarkOrbit that will get players to participate through all levels of experience.
it would be nice to have an event that will make lower level players more competitive, so what I though would be an event that could bring in a ship design for a Goli that is only available during the event, the design is gifted to a player that logs in during the event and this design is locked outside of the event.
the design can give a damage bonus of 100% to players up to Lvl 16
then a 75% damage boost to players Lvl 17 to 21
and a 50% to Lvl 22 and up.
this idea is to help players be more competitive and also to help with damage to get more uri and ep, etc from NPC's
I think this will bring players back and servers will be full for the event as people would like to take advantage of mowing down a few NPC's at half the rate.
yes I know there will be strong lower level players who will get an advantage, but this is life, some loose a bit and some gain a bit.

    what do you all think?

  2. You're kidding right? This is just plain foolish and not thought out.

  3. Too OP. If it was JUST noobs yes, but ufe could do like 400k combos with this easy

  4. its supposed to be over the top, it supposed to be different, it must have a wow factor.
ships with a great boost for a week to get people to advance faster, to kill more.
an idea to be discussed, if you don't want to discuss don't comment.

This would make more people quit than join.

  6. I'd just quit.
You're giving UFEs soo much power, that the 100% boost will not help the noobs.

  7. thats weak, just weak, just quit while you are ahead!
no advantages to anyone nothing different, just what will benefit a player (yourself) and no one else, this is the problem with the DarkOrbit players.
complain, complain, no comprimise, ufe's will have too much power, bla bla bla,o_O
-instead of maybe contributing with something like maybe just a damage boost on npc's or something else,
    just rather quit......

  8. Yes I'm sure the noobs will appreciate the damage boost to their 5 lf-3 while UFE's can now kill them in 3 seconds instead of 6-8 :) great idea that will help the game

  9. :/ ok guys.
on the flip side, i know many many players below lvl21 that are 90%UFE that have all LF4 and many upgrades, they will far out class the higher than lvl22 players that are fully UFE. in fact I know some under lvl16 player that with that 100% boost would wipe the floor with most of you players. but I suppose that's why there is so much fear.

  10. And the only reason you would suggest this is because you're a noob I'm guessing. Meh. Wouldn't be surprised if that level 16 was you lol. On another note you're going off topic .... On your own topic. You're suggesting an idea and berating or ignoring people's feedback. You don't decide if this is implemented or not, we do and the devs do. If you're gonna be an ass about us giving feedback just don't even suggest an idea, keep it to yourself

As a sidenote most level 16 are still just fe or worse so no they would t actually wipe the floor with we ufe. 30k x4 goes to 60k x4 , "ufe" can still do 100k x4 so..... Lol. Besides that skill is a big factor. You wouldn't believe how many I've fought that have decent damage and equip but don't time anything well at all

So basically we don't give good feedback and you try to make it sound like you have a good argument when you have none. You accuse us of only wanting things that will benefit us - you know what would benefit us? More players in the game, our friends back. I personally don't give a shod if I die to a noob, if they did kill me or a group of them did kudos to them for the balls and tactics used. But what you're suggesting is adding brute force just because. You don't even have an argument. You don't have a valid reason. You didn't even mention how long or when this event would be. You have no stats no argument and no respect. So I'm gonna be an ass and quote you: quit before you dig your own grave, because this is a poorly thought out idea. And FTR I don't appreciate being accused of being selfish. I also don't appreciate you calling anyone else who has bothered to try and give feedback to your idea selfish. It's rude.

  11. lol.,you are not getting the point of my idea, I think something DO needs to do must be over the top, have and event that is outrageous, maybe have the % lowered a bit maybe to a 50% and down, but really it can work

  12. Perhaps I'm not getting the point of your idea because you're not explaining why DO needs this. I don't see DO needing this at all. And 50% for what? Again not explaining well

as in the topic my friend, here to discuss an IDEA, not have a life plan put on the table.
I feel that instead of just having a normal event, add in a design for that event only which will give a great boost on damage just for the time period of that event. like the pirate event, get the numbers up and allow players to kill them faster, a UFE needs less booster that a non UFE, and lower level player's can kill these npc faster, bringing the gap between the strong and weak a little closer. weaker players will be able to kill much more that they would outside of the event, this will bring these players to play as they can advance a little faster during this time.
