New mid sized ship

    I am one of those players that is willing to spend around 30 dollars to get 225k uridium on mega hour. I really want a ship like the vengeance that is medium sized ship but has abilities like the aegis, citadel, and spearhead. I would like a ship that I can get for 100k to 150k uridium because I want a ship that is better than 80k but cheaper than 250k. So maybe these could be the specs:

    -170,000 to 190,000 hp
    -standard 10 weapon slots
    -standard 10 shield slots

    And then would have a new design (not just another vengeance skill design)

    And of course it would need 4 skills to go along with it to make an entirely new class of ship. Maybe one that is based off of raiding or alien hunting

    The ships we currently have are:
    -Recon
    -Tank
    -Engineer/Medic

    So maybe we could introduce a sniper of sorts, an ability could be extended lock and weapon use range, heat signature type ability (able to see people cloaked but look like blurs), reward boost (could gain an extra 5% kill rewards when activated), and lastly maybe a cross map hunting ability (locating ships, players, and or aliens on other maps: sort of like interstellar radar but could only be used within map systems such as pirates, vru up, vru low, etc...)

    And the durations and cool downs could be used as follows:
    -Sniper Duration: 20 seconds Cool down: 120 seconds
    -Heat Detection Duration: 10 seconds Cool down: 90 seconds
    -Reward Boost Duration: 15 seconds Cool down: 120 seconds
    -System Radar Duration: 30 seconds Cool down: 90 seconds

    Let me know your thoughts and concerns about this idea.

    To be honest the guns will have to drop to 8 or overpower comments will come from everywhere. Heat detection will be shot down. "guranteed"
    The rest sound cool if it is just natural not timed perhaps with a tab to access and deactivate them, sniper will be compared to a bot program, sad but true.
     
  3. although I am not much a big fan of adding new ships, DO last ships added with spearheads and citadels and the very overpowering aegis... was quite overwhelming great in some sort of ways, adding this new so called ''sniper ship'' wouldn't it fit in a recon class? and making it somewhat a twin to the spearhead?

    I love the suggestion Next-Rise, Everything looks great.

    One question: What does the System Radar ability do?

    Instead of radar for just the map, you can get lock on a player in a different map or locate one specific npc on another map so you can go after it.
     
  8. Locking a player in a different map seems a little overpowered but I don't see any problem with it locating aliens on the minimap.

    I'm assuming that ability works similar to the tutorial when you have to kill an alien it shows where the aliens are as green pings on the minimap.

    yep, precisely and yeah I can see the player targeting being overpowered.
     
  10. locking an enemy, or alien on a different map is pretty dumb.
    Isnt it easier to just jump to that map then use pet alien locator to find the alien instead?

    The system radar would kind of be useless to me. And yes, locking an enemy on a different map seems quite overpowering.
