Hi, where are these new parasite boss event npcs?

 

Infection boss - Gygerim
We have been informed that a new boss NPC is approaching from the direction of the Zeta sector to cause chaos in the humans’ star system. It's the duty of every pilot of every company to destroy the ship to stop the infection.

It is possible that certain actions – like killing a number of Gygerthrall minions - will make the boss appear.

When the boss appears and disappears, all players on the map are notified.
* This ship has the same stats as the Demaner.
* There can be only one boss per map set.

I know where the little ones are, in 4-X maps, but how and where do i get the boss?

same here LOL i must of killed atleast 200 myself and the boss is a no show... not even going to try that today lol

 

Thank you for keeping us up to date on this matter, we have investigated and found that there is an issue. It has been passed on, and hopefully this matter will be resolved very soon.

200 lol I Kill 3527 and NOOOOOOOOOOOOO Boos. And no daily event q....last 2 days I didnt get 1 new event quest. This EVENT must work like this..or its just 1 more EPIC fail.

 

The Bosses will spawn here soon... This is part of the narration of the event. As far as I was informed this should be clear from the event mission texts. But I agree that the display in the event window may be misleading.

Well the kill count for needed gygerthrall npc to summon the gygerim is stuck at 177/2000

 

I suppose this gygerim is a first to shoot it gets the kill award for quest? Another stupid move by Big Pointless... Just popped one gygerim with a load of other players and I got the irrelevant achievement award for it but did not get the kill reward for the quest. Race Against Time quest will be one a lot of players will struggle to do with silly nonsense like this going on with not being awarded kill for quest because you're not the first person to shoot it. Just the same as Dumbenar kill quests. Two hours in 4-5 popping gyerthalls for nothing...

 

Thank you all for you input on this matter, The quest Race against time does require that you or a member of your outfit has lock on the NPC for the kill to count towards the completion of the question.

Stupid way of doing things making someone be first to shoot at it or be in an outfit that has someone whom is first to shoot at it and the people at big point sit around wondering why so many players pass on these events. This is why so many players cannot be bothered with the demaner event and that will now be the case with this event going into the future!

I was lucky in getting this quest done on GB2 because I was in 4-1 doing the gyerthals when the boss spawned on top of me but I will struggle to get into an outfit on GB1. Big point need to revise this gygerim boss and the demaner so you no longer have to be first to shoot at it or in outfit where someone was first to shoot at it. It is just ridiculous to keep it this way especially on GB1 when you put is as much work as other people popping gyerthalls and you ask to join an outfit for the boss and just get ignored because everyone selfishly wants it for themselves!

If big point want more people taking part in events like this, then you have to make it possible for people to do such quests by themselves and without having to be in an outfit and you should be awarded the kill regardless of whether you are first or last to shoot at the gygerim or demaner, then more players will take part in such events. I see loads of players on GB1 and GB2 that are just not taking part in this event, mainly because they can't afford the ammo, and some that have done some of the quests will get to this gyerim quest and give up on the event like they give up on the demaner event because they know they'll never be first to shoot at the thing and they'll never be able to get into an outfit where someone is first to shoot at it, and those goes for both this event and demaner.

how is it possible even when after shooting 2000 the boss gygerim doesnt even appear now ??? the counter bar just disappears and never returns wont be bothering doing that again .

Yup, lol. Now giving up on event quests, thought about doing the gygerim quest, checked the forums * much wailing and gnashing of teeth*
and so thought better of it.

I have never participated in the Demaner event. All it does is slow up my fps. I mean, what's the point?

The rest of the event had its proponents and opposition, personally i thought it was great fun, well - nothing good lasts eh. Back to story missions, and no bad thing.

and btw. How in the 'verse can a noob player ever hope to compete for a lock on one of these gygerims? Exclusionary event, many people shut out from the fun, dismayed players, not good for the game's popularity.

Has BP Europe decided to concentrate on squeezing as much as possible from fewer players in preference to widening the customer base?
How long can that last? Are profits still doubling from one year to the next? (was that first question close to home? will we ever be told lol.)

So Look - we know the business model, lets not act surprised when these things crop up. 'Microtransactions' pfffft -

Not straying off topic here - merely linking the game structure with the business model to draw attention to why these quests are how they are.

I just spent 1 and a half hours doing like 500 gyerthalls for the counter to get stuck on 1994/2000 and for it to spawn in 1-6 so all the folk sitting at ports or their CBS in 1-6 twiddling their thumbs or doing cubes, end up getting the gygerim - and myself and another EIC player in 2-5 never saw the announcement that it had spawned anywhere because the approach just froze. Just more unfairness of an unfair event that I will not bother with again like the demaner and dumbination events. Just a waste of time trying to participate with BP's unfairness on quests and the selfishness of other players just wanting the rewards without the work or wanting the rewards despite no longer needing things for quests so those who do need things for quests miss out as always.

On GB2 all the former cheaters have been let back in. They are all botting on bonus boxes again. Why were they let back in the game? BP are desperate for paying active players. But these cheating players didn't bother playing because they were still banned from collecting in-game rewards like collecting bonus boxes. So BP lifted that ban and they are all back to botting on bonus boxes with some daring to bot on palladium and BP doesn't care because these cheating players are regularly spending money, buying prem membership, and buying bonus box doublers for their botting on bonus boxes. All week the same player has been flying around the demi zone of 2-8 base botting on bonus boxes because he's fed up of myself and others popping him when he's botting on palla or bonus boxes in other maps haha. << This is not an accusation as I have not mentioned any cheating players names so shush.

And to top it all off nicely, they have all be allowed to keep what their previous cheating helped them gain (LF-4's, drones/designs, ships/designs, upgrades etc.) all on the condition they do not cheat again and most of them are just cheating again because they know BP would rather take their money and let them cheat and permanently benefit from their cheating than ban them from the game and delete their accounts. Huge slap in the face and a huge insult to all players like me who work hard on their accounts with spending nothing at all or spending very little (prem, rebate and box doubler from time to time for event boxes) while the cheaters get protected by BP so you go pop an active cheater x amount of times in a day, you get a ban while they are allowed to keep cheating when you're not doing anything wrong while they're allowed to continue cheating. You just cannot make this stuff up! BP are always posting about botting accounts they delete, but they are not deleting the accounts of players that actively play, spend and cheat! Asteroid size slap in the face and insult...

New gygerim quest: A host and his parasite. Destroy 3 gygerim.

Geez Big Pointless, I've not been able to do the Race Against Time quest on GB1 for one gygerim kill due to frozen progress bars, alert for gygerim spawning not working and the selfishness of players that ignore you when you ask to join an outfit so you can stand some minute chance of doing these ridiculous quests. There's just no point to these gygerim quests unless it is universal that you get awarded the quest kill regardless of whether you are first or last to shoot at it. This event started out alright until these gygerim quests were introduced. Make the gygerim kill count for quests regardless of when you get to shoot at it and myself a many other players will be in, but until then, just another wasted event that will now get passed on.

And the slap in the face is, it is not like these gygerim quests offer up anything of value either like a drone design or LF-4, just a feeble 10k uri and a feeble 10 galaxy gate energy. I can get more galaxy gate energy with one minute of boxing while blindfolded and I can earn 10k uri in no time doing uber Bks and uber Lordakiums...
