New players have no chance

Hey everyone, been playing this game off and on for awhile now and it seems as though there is nothing for new players. we get destroyed literally theirs nothing you can do when each volley takes 50k hp. Though i have no problem with getting popped every now and then but every 5 to 10 mins?... I play a majority in the lower lvls anyway just trying to catch up enough to be able to survive longer than 3 seconds in a scuffle. Ive resorted to only playing in the wee hours of the morning between 2-5 am server time which i believe isnt fair.

Scenario(actually happened): You log in starting on 1-1 you go to 1-2 on route to 1-3 you get popped taking you back to 1-1. you repair your ship and try it again this time making it to 1-3, you proceed to farm npc and after your first kill you get popped again (mind you its only been 10 mins). Back to 1-1 you decide maybe i should stay in 1-2 so ill know when enemies are close you precede to play for 15 or so mins when an enemy uncloaks and pops you in a matter of seconds... notice the cycle?

Also its nearly impossible to earn enough credits for the auction due to the outrageous credit balance of some players. You bid 2mil and some one comes and bid 160mil XD i cant compete with those numbers

Although I know we all have to go through this stage I believe there should be some sort of system in place for low lvls in low lvl systems to prevent farming of players. when a majority of your game consists of sitting at the gate til the enemy goes away or gets popped thats a problem.. and it could deter future players who get mad and frustrated after theyve paid for premium and uri and still cant play.

Its the heart breakin, and it sucks. I have been playing almost 3 years and just started my 7th server a couple weeks ago. As hard as it is to start brand new, its really frustrating to start all over. But this is twice in less than a year and trust me, I feel your pain. Even knowing what to do, I know I have to always be on the lookout for cloakers. Let me think, oh yes, 13 pops on day one. Was so frustrated, but kept pushing through and now level 14. Its way safer in uppers, but deadly none the less. Take it slow and get a feel for the way things, including the auction works. You may be surprised and find you can get some things while others are looking away. Know the auction cut off times. There is really no point in bidding any sooner than 10 minutes before it ends.

 

Try playing for 6 + years and get a pushing ban because your ship still is not strong enough or that the cheats that shoot you down have multiple accounts that they don't care about getting a pushing ban on, try starting over from that when you have 0 quests to do to make up for the EP and honor that just got ripped from you in the DO way of thinking of "FAIR" play....

 

patience is the only way to go and u have a long way to go that or bring out 2k $ and good luck

I have built up at least 12 accounts, each one with long hours of work.. Try this.. Ask Questions, READ The DarkOrbit Bible and learn from us old Timers .. Yes it takes a short time to reach level 14.. but its not that difficult..

First thing is Box box box.. and Box some more.. New Players have it easier than when I started.. We had NO Perks, no Swag, No Pets. No Pilot BIO, No Upgrades and No Skylab. We earned every piece of equipment, every ship .. every scar.

Get the biggest Free to repair ship or Credit purchase ship you can get, Build you Skylab.. Everytime a mod levels.. start the next Level.. Remember the Center Mod (Basic) must be one Level higher than any other and YES it needs Power to run everything, so Solar is the next highest, Skylab is like your own Banking Drone.. Master it.. It will give you 3 mil in credits per day.. easy.

Second is get into a Clan that focuses on Building new players.
with uri Boxed you can purchase a Cloak, and Box some more..
Buy the Best Repair bot, Fastest engines and Load up on Shields.. they help SAVE you, more than Lasers.
DO Quests, collect all the Free cargo and sell it.. There are now Quests that give you a Trade Drone so you dont have to fly back to x-1 to sell.

Try using the edges of the Maps to Avoid leaving your Signiture on the Enemies Mini Map. . . there is a Sweet spot..

This game has lots of Frustraiting things and People but .. Its Fun and very Relaxing .. IF you DO-nut take it to serious.

Everything is set to Give you time to Train your Eye, your mouse Clicking techniques and you will need every ounce of it as you reach Higher Levels.. Many of us can Start a New Account and reach level 12 in under 16 hours of Game play without the help of a Clan..

Resourse Management and Determination.. Use Chat to ask for Assistance, Help other noobs, make Friends.. let the Company Chat show your helping others .. We have Bean there.. will come and Help you..

and If you like the game.. spend a few Dollars.. and Get better equipment.. a Standard Xbox game used to cost $ 49.00 usd.. so Get with it and DO-nut be a Tightwad like me and try to DO the DO for Free..

 

I have played this game for many many years and have recently started a new account. It takes a long long time, to build an account without spending, but you do have a chance and it can be done. It's all about finding the right clan to help you as well as putting in the hours/hard work.

 

Try less populated server.

 

Sure.. West Coast USA.. I cant speak for the VRU or the EIC.. but the MMO.. has some very helpful Clans, not a very PUP-U-lated Server, and on a Good Note for Both VRU and EIC.. many players Serving with those Despicable Companies..

( They are Always.. tryin to Double Team us )

many pilots in Our Enemies Company.. that sounds more Respectable.. have former MMO and they DO have a Positive effect on the Personality of those Companys.. Come on Over to the West Coast.. whats the Worst that could happen.. You might even get a " Surfing Lesson".. or when The Enemies show up.. a 500 uri Taxi Ride back to X-1.. and it comes with a Free Repair Bot Dance..

My server GA3, is infested with botting Mexican (Spanish speaker) and they are all from EIC.

 

Tbh I am not a new player, I play the game from a long time, but that doesn't make me feel any better. I have 10 drones now (finally) and got 19 LF-4s, but that doesn't stop UFEs to pop me regularly hitting 200k+ and there is not a big chance for me to defend myself (especially when specy ability is down) I am free player, not paying for the game and if I want to survive I must spend like 50%+ of my uri for emps so I can survive few more seconds in order to get to the port.

The other day I got a title from NPC, kept it for a while. Wanna know how I lost it? I was jumped by 2 UFE ships hitting me 200k+. The first ship hit me with freeze rocket, than the 2nd ship hit me with freeze rocket and I died almost on the same spot where they started shooting me. On top of that they also dropped a slowdown mine on me while I was frozen so survival was impossible - even EMPs are useless in the situation. Not to mention the new infection ammo that took me 20% of my HP just like that n slowed me even more. And this is SEMI-UFE ship I am flying.....

DO-nut Care what Language they Speak, as long as they Play Fair.. but You are Aware that there are more Countries that Speak Spanish on this Planet.. Besides Mexico..

But Botters, DO-nut have much of a Future on Dark Orbit.. so DO-nut let em Prevent you from having fun..

I hear there are some Great Spanish Language Learning methods onLine.. having a command of that Language can Net you a Raise on your Job or Car-rear, and will Guarrentee you get your Fast Food Order Correct.

 

it was hard back in the day too , when a lot of players were hunters , they shot everything moving ,even back then . sure , now u need more time ,actually becoming fe is easier now .since the bids on the items are way lower than what they used to be and u get credits back ,free repairs etc , the hard thing is becoming ufe . that's true . but you can become ufe with a lot of hard work and patience , I've said many times what DO should do to make the game balanced again ,but ,its DO, they don't really listen

 

Its a American server, so I assume they are Mexican. Most of the bot player I caught have status written in Spanish, are from the largest company EIC and is a high ranking veteran. I paid for this expensive game and I find that this game is fill with bot user collecting Uridium, new bugs after every update and is run by incompetent developer! Do you think I'm having fun?

 

Wow Really.. Your on the East Coast Server.. perhaps some to Those that Speak Spanish are NOT from Mexico at All.. like Cubans, Puerto Ricans.. Costa Ricans, Peruvians, El Salvadorians, just to name 5 Nations that Speak Spanish and are Very Prideful.. Your Comment would Anger then.. If you are Old enough to Buy Beer..
