New Quests

    I would say, in my cynical perception of the DO drivers that dictate the decisions made like these quest.

    The quests are not so much about them taking a long time, because in the most part all bar a few that are restricted by server population, can be done in a couple of weeks or less.

    I would suggest considering each levels quest gives enough EP to move to the next level, these quest are designed to help high spending new players, reach the higher EP levels, but not quite the top EP levels, so they can feel like they are doing well for a while, but them have to spend even more, to get the top badge ranks and the top TU ranks.

    If we look at GB1 there are about 6,500 accounts showing with 1 or more EP.

    Only about 1,500 actually play in a 7 day period ( adding 1 or more ep ) and this enclosed new player that give up a few weeks later.

    It would have been nice to see quest that were designed to help the average players, but this is DO and it would appear that the drivers ( profit at any cost ) have not changed, the manifestations just look different.
    In this case they would have given LF3s, BO2's, Iris and other useful items for the lower level quests and for the higher level quest, LF4s, free upgrade, log discs, drone designs etc.
    Instead we get less uri and more EP.:rolleyes:

    I Guess it will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks / months as the DO Reloaded pans out.

    Here is my forecast:-

    We will see a 5-15% increase in new players / returning players for a relatively short period with both groups coming and going. Then we see the continued fall in player numbers as we have seen over the last few years now.

    I really do not see the true decision makers, being given the information that will lead the game out of this slow painful fall, from the once great game it was, with the cult following it had.
