npc stealing kills

i have noticed on occasion where when an npc is attack an enemy and i then attack that enemy and pop him the kill does not register to me..... so it probably its a system kill. but why is this happening because you should get the kill instead of the npc...

 

Yes usually you will get credit for the ship kill. Was there any other ships there that may have gotten credit for the kill?

Also refresh back page and perhaps clear cache.

I experienced this same issue but once I cleared my cache the kill was actually there.

when you kill someone the ep and honor appears in on screen log and when this happens that does not appear in my log.... so i would naturally think that the kill wasn't mine

 

Hmm, well yes normally it does. But recently, since the new main page update, the graphical glitches have been wide spread for me at least. I went on a hunt a week ago, I pay attention to each kill I make, love watching the kill roll by my screen. Quite a few times I didn't see the numbers roll. At first I kind of ignored it as we had a similar glitch a year ago. So I decided each time this happened I would refresh my main page and go back to my log. The kill was there, and also registered on the hall of fame.

Did you do what I mentioned?

I'm sure one of the Admins will come along and solve the issue

Sorry for the delayed response.

If any other ships had lock on the enemy ship you had lock on and your lock was gray then you won't get the kill counted and also if at time you had outfit members who had lock on the enemy ship then you won't get the ship kill.
