Overview
A new quest-station has just been launched in all the x-1 maps!
From there you will be able to accept new daily challenges NYX is going to offer you!
Complete those brand new challenges and get rewarded for it!

Q: Why add a quest giver?
A: We added the quest giver as a way of breaking down the barrier between the website and the SpaceMap. Giving access to quests while playing is a first step in making a seamless transition for you.

Q: What is the Quest Giver?
A: The quest giver is a non-combat NPC called Nyx, who offers quests on the SpaceMap.

Q: Who is Nyx?
A: Nyx is an independent pilot in the Dark Orbit universe, she knows her way around the galaxy from years of exploring, trading and fighting. Nyx has become successful enough that she now contracts out a lot of her manual labor to other pilots.


Q: Where is the Quest Giver located?
A: The quest giver can be found in the X-1, X-4, X-5 and X-8. the Nyx look a bit different in base maps that it does in standard maps.(as shown below)

There is also a small icon on the minimap to show her position. You can see below it is showing as a small exclamation mark.



Q: How do I interact with the Quest Giver?
A: Fly close to the Quest Giver and an icon appears above it, clicking the icon opens the communication window.


Q: Why is there only one quest?
A: At the moment Nyx offers 1 different quest per day over 6 days. She offers the first quest in the cycle again on the 7th day.
Q: What has happened to the Quest Tracker?
A: There have been a few changes. Below you will see the 4 New Features.

Normal Missions :
1. ! = Current Available Missions
2. Pad lock = Unavailable Missions
3. Check Mark = Completed Missions
4. Up / Down Arrows =
Up arrow- Sort missions by acending / desending level
Down Arrow - Browse your company missions

5. Acceptable Missions (shown in Pink) These are the standard quests that all players have or will receive as they level up their ship.
6. Over View shown in Green)- This gives you the required information for the quest.

7. Rewards (shown in Light Blue)- This give you the reward that will be reiceived apon the completion on the mission.

Challenge Missions:



1. Square - Not yet attempted Missions
2. Circular arrow = Already attempted challenges
3. Available Challenge Missions (Shown in Pink) -This is where you can do missions to challenge other players previous scores.
4. Object -(Shown in Green) - This gives you the requirements for the mission.
5. Ranking-(Shown in Light blue)- This shows who has the highest score in order for that particular mission.

Daily Missions:



1. ! = Current Available Missions

5. Daily Quests: (shown in Pink) - Here are the quests the Nyx offers each day as a new addition.


Event Missions:



1. ! = Current Available Missions
2. Pad lock = Unavailable Missions
3. Check Mark = Completed Missions
4. Up / Down Arrows =

Down Arrow - Browse your company missions

5. Event Quests - (Shown in Pink) are the quests that are added to the game during special events. Example Winterfest, springfest, summer games and others.

Under "No available Missions" - Here you will see during these events the Overview and rewards sections for each mission during the event.

Q: What kind of rewards can I get from these daily quests?
A: In addition to a basic reward of experience points , honor and credits the extra rewards for the quests are Booty Keys, Log Files, Extra Energy, Jump Credits, Repair Credits & a nice chunk of Uridium.

Q: If I don’t complete a daily quest the day I start it what happens to it?
A: A daily quest will stay in your quest log until completed. If you don’t have time to complete it on the day then you can accept it and try again when you have more time.

Q: Do I have to cancel existing quests to receive daily quests?
A: No, daily quests can be taken in addition to the quests available from the website.

Q: Can I have multiple daily quests at once?
A: Yes you can! You can have all 6 daily quests active in addition to the 3 quests you can accept via the website! (As Shown Below)





WARNING: When doing multiple quests that contain the same NPC. Please make sure to have the window open for the quest you are wanting the NPC kills to be counted towards.

Q: What happens with the quests on the website?
A: The website quests are still going to be available; you can accept or abort them as you would do normally.

In 2017 Weekly Quests, and new Daily Quests were introduced.
Daily

⦁Quests will reset daily at 0430UCT
⦁There are three different Quest pools, with each containing three difficulty levels
⦁Easy – Quick completion, but with lower rewards
⦁Medium – More challenging with better rewards
⦁Hard – Very difficult with very generous rewards
⦁Once a Quest has been accepted, players can compete it whenever they chose. When a Quest is active, players can not accept another Daily Quest from any of the three Quest pools​

Weekly Galaxy Gate Quest

⦁Quests will refresh in a cycle every Monday at 0430UCT
⦁Weekly Quests will also have three difficulty levels with increasing Rewards
⦁Players can complete a Quest at any time after they accept it, but will miss out on one week of Rewards if they take longer than 14 days
⦁Players can only accept one at a time.
⦁Rewards will consist of only the Ores.​
