  1. Hello Pilots!

DarkOrbit now has its own official Discord server, and you can join to be part of the conversation!

    What is Discord?

Some of you may have already heard of it, but Discord is a voice and text chat software for desktops or smartphones. It is completely free to use.

    Why is DarkOrbit on Discord?

Multiple reasons: On our Discord Server you can chat with players from many different DarkOrbit servers, exchange knowledge, find new friends.

We also want to hear your feedback directly. Are you unhappy with some new feature, the balancing of certain things, or just want to send us new ideas? We are going to be on the server ourselves: community managers, developers and moderators.

Sometimes things can go wrong and we want you guys to know quickly. Discord allows us to quickly send an announcement to everyone on the server, way faster than what we could do on our other channels. There will still be the usual announcements on social media and the forums, but Discord will be the place where you hear the news first!

What else is there to know?

First of all, Discord is not a Bigpoint product, and we do not take responsibility for any problems you might have when using Discord. Please get in touch with Discord’s customer support for any issues with the software.

Secondly, we expect you to adhere to a few rules while you are chatting on the server. You can find these rules in the #server_rules chat channel. Violations to these rules will not be tolerated.

    • no insults, no offensive language, no harassment, no threats
    • the sever is not a support chat: don’t ask the devs, mods or CMs about things handled by our customer support, they can’t help with these problems
    • stick to the right language chatrooms: #general_en is for English only, #general_de is for german only, and so on.
HINT: If you need more voice channels, please get in touch with one of our Moderators (the dark blue guys), they can help you open up a new room.

Lastly, participation is completely voluntary. You don’t have to join if you don’t want to, and you can leave at any time. However, we hope to see as many of you online as possible!

Thanks for reading and see you soon on Discord!
