  1. Subject: Strategic proposal for game expansion, sustainable economy, and massive player growth in DarkOrbit
    Dear BigPoint / DarkOrbit Team,
I am a long-time DarkOrbit player and I respectfully present this proposal with the goal of reviving game activity, strengthening the internal economy, transforming the bot problem into an opportunity, attracting new players, and bringing back veteran pilots who helped shape the history of this game.
    1. Bring Back Legendary Competitive Content – Jackpot Arena

One of the most iconic and exciting events in DarkOrbit history was the Jackpot Arena. Although we understand that monetary prizes are no longer possible due to economic and legal issues, the event can return in an updated form:
    Proposal:
    • Bring back Jackpot Arena as a weekly or monthly permanent event.
    • Replace cash prizes with valuable in-game rewards:
      • Uridium
      • Exclusive ship or drone designs
      • Advanced upgrade modules
      • Special CPUs
      • Permanent boosters
      • Global elite titles per server
This would boost competitive PvP activity and motivation.
    2. Bot Problem – Turn it Into a Profitable Solution with Crypto Mining

Bots are currently a huge issue in DarkOrbit. Despite anti-bot measures, it is impossible to eliminate them completely. Instead of fighting them with captchas and bans, DarkOrbit can use this activity as a positive force.
    Innovative Proposal:
    • Introduce official cryptocurrency mining inside the game.
    • All players can participate (bot users and legitimate players).
    • Mining generates profit that is split:
      • A percentage goes to DarkOrbit as new revenue.
      • A percentage goes to the player, allowing them to earn real money by playing.
    Player Rewards Options:
✔ Convert mining power into in-game rewards (Uridium, modules, keys, etc.)
✔ Or withdraw as real crypto using a DO-Token (official DarkOrbit token)
    Benefits:

    For BigPointFor Players
New permanent revenue modelEarn real money
Turns bots into a positive systemFair opportunity
Attracts crypto and gaming audienceMotivation to stay active
    Increases daily engagementPlay-to-earn evolution
    3. DO-Token – Official DarkOrbit Cryptocurrency

To support the new mining system, we propose the creation of DO-Token, an official game token controlled by BigPoint.
✅ Can be used inside the game
    ✅ Can be traded externally
✅ Creates a stable and modern in-game economy
This would place DarkOrbit among the top play-to-earn games globally.
    4. Inter-Server Portals (No More Forced Mergers)

Many players want to play with friends from other servers, but forced merges caused account losses and conflicts.
    Proposal:
    • Add inter-server portals allowing players to temporarily travel to other servers.
    • No permanent fusion required.
    • Useful for international events and competitive PvP wars.
    • Players maintain their original server identity and progress.
    5. Game Expansion – New Maps + Classic Aliens Return

DarkOrbit needs more PvE content and exploration. To revive interest and nostalgia:
✅ Add new maps with progressive difficulty
Bring back old classic aliens (High-Tech Sibelon, Elite Devolarium, Mutated Lordakia, etc.)
✅ Include rare event aliens permanently (Hitac, Demaner, Breach enemies, Plutus, Ice Meteoroid)
✅ Add Raid Boss Aliens for clan fights
✅ Add new drops and crafting resources
This would expand farming possibilities and reduce map saturation while boosting excitement.
    ✅ Conclusion

This proposal aims to create a strong technological and economic evolution while preserving the identity of DarkOrbit.
    ✔ More active players
    ✔ Return of veterans
    ✔ Real economic opportunity
    ✔ New content + Nostalgia
✔ New global growth for BigPoint
    ✔ Stronger community
I am available to collaborate and present a technical development plan or answer any questions from your team.

✅ PROPOSAL: Mining Through Eliminated Aliens

Objective: Allow players to earn real-world rewards while fighting aliens in DarkOrbit, whether manually or automatically, incentivizing PvE activity and increasing player retention.
    1. Core Idea

Currently, players fight aliens to obtain in-game resources. This proposal suggests that every alien defeated can generate a small amount of DO-Tokens or credits that can later be converted to real money or used inside the game.
    • Classic, new, and event-exclusive aliens are eligible.
    • Mining is balanced to avoid disrupting PvP/PvE economy.
    • Applies to both manual combat and approved automated combat systems.
    2. Mining Mechanism

    • Each alien is assigned a mining value based on difficulty and rarity.
    • Generated DO-Tokens are stored in the player’s in-game wallet.
    • Daily/weekly limits prevent excessive farming and abuse.
    • Withdrawal options:
      • Spend tokens on in-game items.
      • Withdraw to an external wallet with optional KYC verification.
    3. Benefits

    For BigPointFor Players
Additional monetization without altering PvPReal earnings from PvE
Encourages legitimate farmingIncentive to play more hours
Indirectly reduces bot impactProgression through gameplay
    New play-to-earn featureDiversified player income
Attracts digital economy enthusiastsTangible rewards for effort
    4. Implementation Examples

    1. Normal aliens: low token value, encourages consistent farming.
    2. Elite aliens: medium token value, rewards experienced players.
    3. Bosses and raids: high token value, high risk, requires teamwork and strategy.
    4. Event-exclusive aliens: special token value, incentivizes participation in historical events.
    5. Conclusion

This proposal complements bot-based and passive mining by rewarding actual player activity, making it a legitimate source of income and motivation. It can be fully integrated with the DO-Token system previously proposed, attracting both veteran DarkOrbit players and newcomers interested in play-to-earn gaming.

The fact you think BigPoint would ever allow players to earn money by playing. They're lucky to keep the light bill paid without giving us handouts.

This is why, despite the constant power increase in the game, the beginning tutorial hasn't been brought to modern standards. You still start out with a basic Phoenix unless you have an account on another server, then they'll jump you into a Liberator but you still start with absolute weakness. At the minimum the tutorial should start people with selection of Cit/Aeg/Spear with full LF2 and a handful of drones to get them started, but that's why they created these starter packages stacked to the rafters with XP and currency to get them to buy.

The botters aren't going to go anywhere despite the banwaves and it's a sad fact we'll have to accept. What the botters don't earn through botting, they also buy to accelerate their progress further just to sell their account. Does this mean they're safe from botting? No. But it's clearly evident that BP doesn't care *enough* at the minimum to fix this. The game is an intense grindfest so I understand why people would use bots because not everyone has the time to dedicate 6-7 hours a day to this game, and if you do, you get hit with diminishing rewards. Support won't allow video footage of these botters "because it could be doctored", and yet they'll put admin ships in the game and not use them to go after botters which are incredibly easy to detect just by watching them.

As for JPA/JPB, it won't happen. The game is still rife with trains and you can see the issue in having the group JPA we originally had when you have clans of 50 UFE ships steamrolling the field.

I'm just saying, just because you put "Official" in the title doesn't make it a good proposal, but I appreciate the good laugh

not that some inovation would be a good thing, expecting DO to be able to code for crypto mining and have it actually work is being FANTASTICALLY optimistic
