I dropped a slow down mine and hit him, after just a few seconds he over took me and was slightly ahead of me. On 5-3 we both have goliath ships.
The question is how? he didnt hit me with DCR rocket...
the same thing has happen to me on 4-5 with me using DCR rocket and he actually went faster than me and passed me by, support had no answer and just said to contact the "other support" as they only handle with english... ok what other support? thats why Im posting this here because the 7 or more times I contacted support they simple do nothing!

Were your speed generators filled with promerium?
Do you have all G3N-7900 generators?
If answer to previous two question is yes then I would assume that it might have caused due to a lag issue or you have to change the flight path as moving in straight line does not help when you are being chased by enemy who knows how to fly their ship when someone is trying to run from them.

Do you (the original poster) have any further questions or can we close?

 

Or it was a speed hack, which DOES exist.

 

I've been fighting ships, have them run...even though our ships are the same class and I have prome on my engines and they pull away from me. Had one run from me, stop at a base, come straight back and me and caught up with me even though i was moving back to port at top speed... player is widely known for being a possible hacker. I just love the constant denial from support and admins that hacking doesnt happen...wake up.

I was also in a lightning vengy, i clicked on mini map to fly across screen,(both configs are speed configs), used the ships ability and yet this goli could sill catch me :/. but bot users were removed? apparently script users are not a problem as they don't steal from DO, only from players.

 

Send a politee email to support..once in a great while they get the bad guy..in almost 5 years I've sent 3 names with time date server and a note please check this person..all 3 are banned..you can't cry wolf all the time.

 

yes max of all generators with like 15k prom. upgrade on it.

 

Lag would give the visual affect of being overtaken by the pursuer but they still wouldn't actually be in range(If you were max Prom and speed Gen's as you say)so the most likely thing is speed hack.

 

Lol almost thought this was gonna be a non believer post kind of crap lol. Yeah, there are speed hacks, and many players use them, why? they botted, they can't pvp, I see a lot of players after I click port who boost away, either when im hunting, or their chasing me they always seem to have that boost.

 

I have been seeing the issue the following issue: I fly an fe vengi with prom at all times and golis will chase me but by the specs of the two ships they cant catch me so as I am almost to a port its like they magically have unlimited range I die and support tells me I lagged. As Boss~Adam said lag only gives the visual effect, in this case support said they were probably really in range the whole time. The problem with that is, once again, I am in a vengi. Nothing is fixed, and no one gets banned.

 

I know the players and cheats are out there lol, it happens.
