Patch notes - October 2015

Greetings, Pilots!

We post a lot of announcements about features and events, but we know that you can’t always see what we are doing to improve the game. These monthly patchnotes are a way to keep you better informed.
We implemented the following features, events, improvements, and bug-fixes in October:


Events

Halloween

The Halloween event started at 19 October this year and was supposed to last 2 weeks. Due to its popularity and some changes we made to address community feedback, the event was prolonged by half a week. The event itself offered some missions and the “Tunnel of Terror” galaxy gate which was extremely challenging but provided epic drone designs and ammunition as rewards.
Open Testserver: Kuiper Gate Test
The testservers have been opened to let the players test the new Kuiper galaxy gates to find possible issues and to provide feedback on the gameplay.

Soccer Bonus

The well know soccer bonus was offered for the Euro 2016 qualifiers and players could gain Uridium for goals your team scored during a match.

German Unification Day (DE only)

A usual one-day event on all German servers with special bonus boxes and additional event games to celebrate the German Unification Day.

Columbus Day (ES only)

Fireworks, country bonus boxes and event games have been provided on all Spanish servers to celebrate the Columbus Day on 12 October 2015.

Republic Day (TR only)

Besides of the regular one-day event features, the Hezarfen ship design and a Booster sale was offered to celebrate the Turkish Republic Day on all Turkish instances.

Guy Fawkes Day (UK only)

Fireworks and Union Flag bonus boxes as well as games to celebrate Guy Fawkes Day in the UK.

Bug-fixes

Website

Achievements

Killing the Alpha P.E.T did not activate the corresponding achievement “Big Game Hunter”. This was fixed and the missing achievements booked to the affected accounts.

“Falconer”: The Achievement will only be given, when the Century Falcon is killed while in the LoW gate! The description has been updated.

Game Client

UBA

Players got stuck in UBA. We identified and eliminated the cause of this error.
It’s no longer possible to open the chat during the UBA. The corresponding hotkey will not work anymore.

Configuration: After changing the ship configuration the shield points were not updated correctly. This was fixed.

P.E.T. Event

P.E.T. Gate

If a player accepted the hard mission the easy and hard P.E.T. Gate was accessible but only the hard gate should have been activated. This behavior was changed.

If you have been killed by the Alpha P.E.T in the last wave and jumped in the gate again, the Alpha P.E.T was not available anymore and the gate got finished.

Drones: The Apis drone is displayed as 'B' instead of “A” when 'display drones' is turned off in Settings. This was fixed.

Booty Boxes: The countdown will no longer be displayed once a player cancels to collect it.

Halloween Event

Mission Exploit Fix: It was possible to achieve a quick finishing time for the Halloween event mission “Slipped through the Cracks” if players jumped into the gate at the same time while being together in a group of 8 players. This was fixed, invalid times have been removed.
Mission Bug: Halloween mission “From another universe” did count kills of Demon Drone NPCs to the mission condition if players have been in a group. This was fixed.
Improvements

UBA: We have found an exploit that would allow players to use ore updates so that they are matched against lower-level players. We have disabled this. Nano Hull and Ore Updates are no longer available in the Ultimate Battle Arena and are not factored in when determining the gear score.

Localization

P.E.T. event:
Inconsistent translations have been adjusted.

Mission Control: One P.E.T. event mission was missing but added at a later point of time.

We have also implemented a number of additional bug-fixes, text corrections and other improvements.
