    Hi Space Pilots,

We know that we post a lot of announcements about features and events, but that you cannot always see what we are doing to improve the game.

These monthly patchnotes are intended as a way to keep you better informed.

In August we implemented the following features, events, etc.:

    New Features

    Account security improvements

Security improvements have been implemented to make players' accounts more secure. A major part of this new feature involves the implementation of the User Account Center, which allows for changes to passwords, email and other account information to be handled more securely than before.

    Team Deathmatch Rework
The Team Deathmatch event game was relaunched in August after an overhaul based on the community's feedback.

    Events (global and local)

    Sugar Festival (TR)
A four-day event to celebrate the Turkish Sugar Festival on all Turkish instances on August 7 - 10, 2013. Various event games were scheduled each day in addition to Free Base Repairs, Fireworks, and Special Bonus Boxes.

    Foundation Day (HU)
This event took place on all Hungarian instances on August 20, 2013 and featured Fireworks, Special Bonus Boxes with a Hungarian flag skin, Free Base Repairs, and several event games like Level Invasion Gate and Spaceball.

    Improvements

Based on user feedback following Client Resolution 2.0, we have slightly increased the ranges for lasers and rockets to ensure that ships can only attack from within the viewport of their opponent.

Game Client: Tooltips have been implemented to provide the player with a short description of the ship skill's effects upon mouseover of the ship skill icon in the Quickslot bar.

Cloak CPU: Charges will no longer be deducted while on a map where use of the Cloak CPU is restricted.

EPPP: The user ID cannot be extracted by the profile picture URL anymore.

    Shop:
Fixed a bug that made the Independence design available on non-US servers.
NC-AWL CPU is now correctly marked as a Credit item again.

Hall of Fame: The HoF overview is displayed correctly again (US instances only).

Fixed a bug that removed Drone Designs from equipped drones under certain circumstances.

    Game Client

    Team Deathmatch:
Players are able to use jump gates again while the TDM is running.
Notification of the last TDM match will no longer appear repeatedly.

Fixed some incorrectly displayed texts for the Team Deathmatch.

Corsairs' HP/Shield bars are now displayed closer to the ship.

Fixed behaviour of the Resource Booster, which now grants extra loot from NPCs again.

Chain Impulse has its visual effect again when triggered.

Quests: The correct sound now plays upon finishing a quest.

Pirate Maps: Map 5-1 and 5-3 are no longer swapped in the Star system window.
