    Hi Space Pilots,

We know that we post a lot of announcements about features and events, but that you cannot always see what we are doing to improve the game. These monthly Patchnotes are intended as a way to keep you better informed.

We implemented the following features, events, etc. in June:

    New features
    • Piranha re-launched
Following our re-launch of the Nostromo and Bigboy in May, we've now revised the Piranha to give players more viable options for competitive credit ships.
    • New and old sounds
Based on player feedback, we rolled back some of the newer in-game sounds in favor of the more popular older sounds. In addition we've also introduced new background music with a darker retro-vibe that better matches the setting of DarkOrbit.
    Events (global and local)
    • Hitac event 2.1 (global)
The Hitac lottery from the June 7 to 21 gave players the chance to collect sun and moon lottery tickets that would enter them into a draw for real world prizes and in-game rewards respectively. In addition to special Hitac NPCs, this also included daily events.
    • Conflict Rising (global)
The Conflict Rising event will run from the June 24 all the way to the July 7 and feature daily story-driven PvE and PvP quests as well as daily event games and special offers in the shop. Players can also achieve special titles by competing in enough of the event quests.
    • Open Beta – Client UI (global)
We opened the test server for 2 days starting on June 20 to give all players a sneak peak of the redesigned user interface. Following the positive feedback from the users we have already announced the next Open Beta for the upcoming Resolution Update.
    • Day of the Republic (IT)
To celebrate Italy's Day of the Republic on June 2, we organized fireworks, event games and special bonus boxes that were available to the players all day long.
      • Festa Junina (BR)
Festa Junina (a.k.a. San Juan) is a one-day celebration in Brazil where bonfires are burned to delay the coming of winter. Fireworks, special bonus boxes and several event games were live on Brazilian servers to celebrate this.
    Improvements
    • Ore Trade window - Text was added to the Ore Trade window to indicate whether or not the player can currently trade for free or whether cost is involved.
    • Credit ship repair - The repair of a Credit ship for Credits is now prioritized over Repair Vouchers.
    • Auto-equip feature - Players will be asked if they want to instantly equip newly bought items from the shop.
    • Extra Energy & Jump Voucher deals - Improved the pricing for Extra Energy and Jump Voucher packages to give better value for money.
    Bug-fixes
    • Fixed a bug that would restart quests for users that had already completed them.
    • If you do not have enough Uridium to repair your drones, you will now get an appropriate error message instead of an unknown error.
    • The PET’s Radar protocol will now stack again if you equip more than one at the same time.
    • Clan Page: There is now a 48-hour cooldown period for founding a new clan after deleting an old one.
    • * XP is now correctly calculated if you use the Bat formation on your Aegis Veteran Design.
    • The Radar Protocol (Level 3) will extend its range again if multiple Radar Protocols are equipped.
    • Achievements: The Hamster achievement is now working properly.
    • The Repair Bot’s sound will no longer get stuck in a loop and play indefinitely.
    • Fixed log book entries when collecting bonus boxes.
    • Fixed an exploit that allowed the Citadel’s Travel Mode to be applied to other ships.
    • * Fixed an exploit where Galaxy Gates could reward a user multiple times.
    • Addressed a bug that sold NC-AWL CPUs for 0 Uridium. The CPU can now be bought for Credits.

We also carried out quite a few additional bug fixes, text corrections and other improvements.

    Regards,

    Your DarkOrbit team
