I was just kicked from chat for defending myself after being accused yet again of cheating. It's usually autolock but this time accused of damage hack also. The kick from chat was for a change the subject. Surely that's a warning first? More importantly shouldn't the person that's doing the accusing be removed from chat?

He said he had video evidence so I was asking him to put it on the internet so we can all see it. If anyone has any videos, please let's see them...

Here's something that might help you understand how it is possible for me to lock you off YOUR screen:

I play a resolution of 2560x1440. I can probably see more than twice as far as I can shoot. Just because you can't see me does not mean I can't see you. Unless we have the same resolution or you have a higher one. Screen size doesn't matter.

Just because the majority of people cheated on this game does not mean everyone has. If you think my actions in game can only be explained by program use then I should take that as a compliment but watch the video that Rick made and pay particular attention around 4:30 mark.

As for the accusation of damage hack I don't know how to defend that. I believe there was a config bug to do with warping ships but thought it was fixed. If it still exists I don't know how to do it and even if I did I wouldn't use it. The sooner BP clean up the game and remove people who are cheating the better as far as I'm concerned.

This will probably get deleted as a rant but I've also included information here so that people can hopefully understand there is a big difference between screen size and resolution and if the person you are fighting has a higher resolution then you are at a disadvantage. That's not my fault... buy a better monitor :p

Just take it as it comes.
People die and make excuses, people lag and don't understand that an internet connection is not a constant thing can can dip periodically, even just few a couple seconds. Some people don't even understand that damage numbers can be combinations of several things at once.

Anyone with a half decent ship will be called a cheat multiple times, the more you hunt the more lucrative the accusations become ;)

  3. Just take it as a compliment. :)

  4. Just ignore them!!

As the above people said, just ignore them. No matter how legit you actually are, there are always going to be people who think you cheat.

As far as the chat ban, the other guy may have gotten the same ban, probably worse since it was an accusation.

  6. If you die -> Called a noob
If they die -> Called a cheater

    It's a vicious circle. I just /ignore them

Ok thanks for the supportive comments guys. I've been planning on recording myself so when I get accused I can show them exactly what was happening on my screen but to be honest, I can't be bothered.
