PET Gears

    Hello there!

    I was looking at a video, and I saw that one individual had 2 level 3 auto-looter gears.

    I knew that protocols (radar, for example) stacked, but do gears also stack? What is the benefit in that?

    If I spend quite a bit of time in the palladium fields in the Reaper Maps, is it worth it to invest in radar protocols? Should I be getting more auto-resource collector gears? Of course, they'd be level 3.

    Finally, in the opinion of the members of the Dark Orbit community, is the Fuel Protocol worth anything? The formula for calculating the amount of fuel used takes into consideration how many protocols are equipped -- wouldn't the addition of more protocols nullify the benefit provided by the Fuel Protocol?

    I think the gears doesn't stack like protocols do.

    No, only the protocols stack. The gears essentially replace each other with each higher level.

    Thank you all for assisting with this thread.

    Protocols do stack but gears don't. The radar protocols certainly gives you to collect palladium as with certain amount of level 3 radar protocols and the P.E.T will have more range. The P.E.T fuel protocol do affect fuel cost but you should also remember the higher the level of your P.E.T more the consumption of fuel.

    Thanks all for the reply.

    In regards to the PET fuel protocol, in your experiences, is it worth it?

    Furthermore, is it beneficial to have a full load of level 3 radar protocols, or is there a certain amount where more isn't required to cover the vast majority of the fog in 5-3?

    I personally don't use fuel protocol but other might have different opinion on this subject and about radar protocols (level 3) I think 3 to 4 is enough. But again it all depends on your choice what you want to go for, try to buy few protocols at a given time and try them out and if they are working really well with your P.E.T then you can spend your uridium else where.
